Good game, good length too.
The timer made me panic a bit (which i think is a positive), but it also made me ignore talking to the townspeople and after reading the first part of each sign i moved on. Didn't realize the quiz area was a quiz area for two or three runs, and I have no idea who anybody is besides the Time Police Knight. If this concept is developed further I'd suggest some kind of pause mechanic while interacting.
8.5/10 I guess
Thanks for playing! Mr. Quizzington has updated his quiz area a bit so you aren't wasting as much time to read the signs. Unfortunately the time police can only reverse time, not pause it!
Maybe it's just me atm, but I'd really like an option to skip over the basic tutorials here. The game treats me like I've never played a turn-based strategy game before.
Very, very similar to Celeste (in a good way) with the boost, mid-air boost recovery, bouncy things (that restore boost). At times it felt a bit "fast", mostly just the conveyors, their inertia and your movement on them. Great humour, story fit its length (had one, but not a lot of time to develop it or the characters).
The RPG/progression system was good, except for the massive scaling throughout an area. My first attempt at the grass dungeon i died 2 dudes in , by the end i was one shotting them. Likewise with Monsoon Town, where i quickly lost to the Necromancer and thought "This is impossible" until i bought all the relics. Good story, characters & Dialogue. 4/5
Easy Strategy: Get range on Bow-ashigaras ASAP. In battle use a Rider and a few samurai and spam Bow-ashigaras. The Bowmen will take out anything really quickly and you can easily blitz through on every lane in a minute, losing only a few men in the process.
Fantastic game, with few flaws. I would suggest one more tier of equipment though, as i got the steel things pretty quickly and didn't feel the need to explore the underground unless it was for dragonblood. The potions are amazing, but i don't know what endurance is and health potions weren't neccesary ever. The balance is good, not too much grinding but i still had to do something to get something, which made it's length perfect (it took me almost 3 hours). The only thing that disappointed me was the limited amount of bag upgrades, i was expecting a potion or a dock item for bigger bags there wasn't any :( overall, 9.5/10
Quite fun: a bit repetitive. Tips: max level of everything is 10, except for enviroment (11), at max level fish production and dragon you gain a little bit of fish, strength equals the "damage" to a tree's HP, when it's 0 the tree falls. You can click on the app links repeatedly for infinite gems. 4/5, a sequel would be great!
Amazing game, yet super short. The game design was great, as you're first task gives you two coconuts, you find a grave to dig, and you find a shovel in a shop for two coconuts. I instinctively knew the right paths to take and decisions to make and was never "stuck", even though there was no direction or guidance besides what the characters said and wanted.
Great game, but one thing that's missing is us being able to affect the order buildings recruit in. As population fluctuates, the workforce changes in size and you'll either have not enough workers for jobs you want done (less production), or the workers will "overflow" into the next job (or become unemployed). Please make it so we can chose where workers overflow to, or having a setting allowing the distribution amount to be exceeded if you have unemployed workers.
Fun, but needs a fast forward button (1.5x or 2x) and either a pause button, or a start level button. At the beginning of every level i tried to figure out the new stuff i unlocked while building a base in a few seconds and often restarted the level to give myself more time. Gameplay during the levels was pretty repetitive, but the upgrade system outside of the levels was great. 7/10
Brigatines make forts useless, as you can move two spaces going from out of their range to your range, fire, then move two spaces back, being out of their range again.
Great game 5/5, a bit difficult in some places but that's good. More levels and/or a sequel would be great, as apart from new building structures, new bombs, and upgrades (radius of bombs, force of bombs, more bombs, etc) i don't see anything else to add.
