@Crimmers Actually Sudoku uses a 9x9 grid and you have to arrange the numbers 1-9. Latin Squares uses a 4x4 grid and the numbers 1-4. See Wikipedia for details. Unless of course, you count Wikipedia as 'Fake News'. =D
FYI: The puzzle for the wooden box inside the fish is 'Latin Squares'. You have to arrange the numbers 1-4 so each row and column has the numbers 1 to 4 in any order.
Here's a list of the altars and what they do:
Altar of Wizard - Abilities occasionally use no energy
Altar of Archer - Occasionally get arrows or javelins (power increases with your level)
Altar of Wealth - Immediately granted a hoard of gold coins
Altar of Health - Occasionally get healed when health drops below 50%
Altar of Exploration - Health below 50% is restored to full when descending to an
unexplored level
Altar of Trog - Go berserk and deal critical hits whenever HP below 33%

The offline clicking appears to be broken for Neutral factions? The assistants aren't generating any faction coins while offline. Only when I'm online do they generate faction coins.
And to add to my previous comment, right before the hunt you CAN CHANGE your abilities. When viewing your team, open their screen and select an ability, the button 'Forget' will be bottom left. Note: Not all abilities can be forgotten.
I think what ChineseZpy is trying to say is that the final level is hugely unbalanced unless you've specifically 'built' your team using those abilities. Tanking damage is useless for that level, you'll get overwhelmed within 2 rounds max. You need to have abilities to halt or stun the poisonous spiders.
Needs rebalancing of the challenges for Levels 7, 9 and 10. The Shadow Rangers outnumber the living so its impossible to get more than a few shots off before they're continuously stunned and unable to shoot or cast spells.
