It's a pretty good Asteroids-type shooter. The controls are good and the difficulty curve is done very well. I'm conflicted about the story, though. The end was moving, but it seems to me like they're exploiting the emotional attachment to suicide, and when it comes down to it, I think that's the only thing about the story that moved me. I guess more than anything else, I was slightly offended that such a sad subject was handled this carelessly. Either way, though, the gameplay is definitely good enough to stand on its own , regardless of the story. 4/5
Grr. And I should also mention that I've now lost countless units to the auto-attack. "Hey, look! There's a single blue pixel in this bombing zone... Let's send in the whole army!"
Interesting strategy game, but the poor controls really ruin the experience. That, and so many of the matches come down to luck... if three computers decide that you're their least favorite enemy, you're done for no matter what you try to do. Have to give it 3/5. Would have been 4/5 if the controls were better.
That really was a pretty excellent puzzle/platformer. Would've definitely liked some more hard puzzles, but that last one kept me going for some time. And perhaps a color/pattern scheme to show more clearly which screens connect. But really, this is just nitpicking for a game I gave 5 stars. I wish more games were and simple and well-executed as this game.
Interesting puzzle game, and a fun irony with a game that's a Mario clone where you make Mario clones. Not a bad way to kill an hour. I just can't help but think that this game borrows too heavily from Mario, though... I know that's the point, but I would've liked a little more originality.
The theme is "death sucks". This game isn't any more deep or complex than that. Anybody who sees more in the game is deriving their own meaning from the game. Not to say that's a bad thing. Certainly isn't. But, he's right in saying that this game is neither deep, or complex. (It is meaningful, though.)
Second try, quit at 1,000,000 points on dimension 19. But I really don't know if I should blame my skill or the game's difficulty.
And yeah, this game definitely makes no sense.
The later levels of this game are pure luck. I was hoping there'd be some strategy to this, but the speed of the cars makes that impossible. You just have to click the lights and hope the stupid-as-mayonnaise motorcycle doesn't crash into your semi at 120 MPH.
This game is terrible in so many ways. If someone over 13 took the time to design a better interface, and if someone took the time to make some better cards, this might not be half bad, but as it stands, it's much more than half.
