CUSTOMER: Shopkeeper, I demand you sell me a watermelon this instant!
SHOPKEEPER: I'm sorry, but this is a shoe store, so... no.
CUSTOMER: This is an outrage!!!!!!!!
So let me get this straight... Instead of dispatching his men to seek a remedy to his disease or using his resources to assist the one man who IS looking for the cure, the king instead commands his men to hinder me in every way possible, like spying on me to make sure I don't take any of his apples. Is that about right? Gotta' tell ya', I'm not terribly sympathetic to our idiot sovereign. Good game, though!
Fire missiles indiscriminately at all marine life! Discover new an rare species and blow 'em up! Jacques Cousteau must be rolling in his grave... Fun, though!
The new leveling system is another fun improvement that has once again upgraded the overall gaming experience, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming addition of new levels! Would it be greedy of me to ask for a mini-map of some sort to help keep track of visited areas on each floor (especially now that we have more reason to explore areas completely)? Either way, thanks for this great game and your continued efforts in improving it.
The recent addition of sound and further modifications to AP usage are very welcome changes that have improved game-play substantially! Kudos on the improvements and your enduring commitment to improving the game! I'm glad I withheld my rating pending changes, as I can now acknowledge your efforts with a full 5-star rating. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! That's awesome to hear :)
There is still a lot more to do - Soundscape/Music, more levels, an ending, etc. I don't get a whole lot of time to work on the game but there should be an update at least once a month, so keep checking back!
When will more quests be added? None have been added in so long and many people stop playing after they run out of quests. Some additions would certainly boast the game's longevity, and more might be inclined to invest in premium.
The first time I played this, I was also turned off by the randomness. However, once I tried it again and gave it a slightly longer trial, I ended up changing my mind completely and really saw the strengths of the random factor. So, I'd encourage others to give it a second chance before getting frustrated. It's just too bad there are only 10 levels.
As far as I can tell, there's no explanation for what the different kinds of explosives do. Why should I spend $1,000 instead of $75 per bomb? I haven't even noticed a clear difference through by trial and comparison, so what's the deal?
SPOILER: The big ending: The screen goes black, and absolutely nothing else. I don't know if that's all I was actually supposed to see, but that's all I got. A bit anticlimactic.
"Attack" is spelled with two "T"s. Also, Alice's stats don't change when swapping between "road dress" and "old uniform", even though the latter allegedly offers a superior armor boost. That said, I'm looking forward to the full game!
The heal spell shouldn't have been altered to recharge by xp instead of time. It wasn't overpowered before; it was necessary. As underpowered as it is now, running out of red potions is a death sentence.
A map is on my todo list - just need to decide on the best way to present it in game without cluttering up the UI :)
