I know a game is too easy when I don't have to look up hints because I'm a total idiot. But, man, that was fun. It all flowed really well. Hint placement was key. I think keeping the spirit of this design and turning the difficulty up just a bit could make some of the greatest escape room games ever.
Indie game studios, all you need to do is fill them with programmers and they make infinite money forever with no problem. Yep, that's how it works. But really, this is surprisingly fun but short idle game. I actually like the idea of being able to finish one in a day, though.
"I told you I knew how to get there. I told you I knew where I was going. But no, you said to ask for directions. And now look where it's gotten us! We're in an endless firefight with somebody and we STILL haven't found a bathroom!"
I have not reset and don't know if I plan to, but I do like this little game. When I first saw that harvesting the tree couldn't be upgraded and actually got harder, I was disappointed, but as it went on and I finally harvested the whole tree, I realized that was a great idea. I think there should be a way to speed up combat, personally, but since this is mainly an idle game, that may not be something you need to do. I like it, but it's not perfect and you appear to be working on it, which is really what makes most of the best games the best is that you keep working on them after they're released. Right now I give it about 3.5/5 stars and hope to see more about it in the future.
Thank you for this comment. Also thanks for the tree praise, but we will speed up the chopping a bit, because it seems you are the only one who actually likes the tree as it is now. And yes, we're trying to make the game even better based on yours suggestions and ideas. More stuff will be here soon!
I don't get the items that are scattered around the level and I don't know if it's the game or my computer, but I keep getting killer lag whenever the water starts moving that makes it impossible to play the game.
Timing becomes very essential and to me (maybe I'm just bad at it) very difficult starting on level 6. I finally got past that and gave up on level 7. It's fun, but not worth the effort after a time. I like to see how your projects have advanced, though, seeing this after playing Slimey's Quest.
The bar for my lemonade stands has stopped showing at all. I can't tell if I'm earning from it. Is anyone having this problem? And if you are, do you know if the lemonade stands are still earning?
Has this happened to anyone else? I'm walking out of the Malum in Se hallway and the game seems to glitch. I can't exit through either door. He just won't leave that hallway.
Well, I'm not going to say the update is terrible. Really, it's not. It would take some getting used to, though. We're very used to the old ways, but I think this is a step in the right direction. As many people are saying, it's cluttered and busy and distracting. Trying to buy donuts and having the achievement bar block the buy button is a very bad choice. Losing the scroll bar fixed a lot of the jumping problems, but it's counter-intuitive and awkward with a mouse. Separating Angel and Cash upgrades is brilliant and some of the extra menus, like upgrades and managers, only need slight changes to be as good or better than the original. But the real problems come in the main screen, the whole point of the game, the investment buying screen. Glad to hear you're working on it already, but perhaps going backwards to take a step forwards is the right thing to do.
New update saying they're going to be launching a big update soon, possibly as soon as tomorrow! I look at my properties and see I'm about 3-5 days from finally having 2000 everything. I feel like I'm always one step behind.
