The way you get combinations with blank letters such as A_FGHT leads me to believe the game has simply converted words in to base 28 numbers and is simply counting. It would be better to filter words by letter count, use base 27, remove the blanks and switch from 2 letters to 3, 3 to 4 etc once you get past all zs.
So much potential for this game! Couple of ideas if you were to expand it.
1. Completing level objectives to unlock more levels, more skills,
2. Achievements which give perminant buffs.
3. Information about finds.
4. Character creator (and random character generator for lazy people).
5. Ability to hire more archiologists on later levels.
6. More types rewards for events such free technology for day/level extending time limit etc.
Had an annoying bug a couple of times where the last enemy of the level is immoral so I can't finish the level. I'm using IceWeasle for AV Linux if that helps.
Love the concept. Game got a bit dull for a while though, needs some work balancing the difficulty. Couple of ideas off the top of my head.
I like Gamebuggy's boss creator suggestion, like to add to that the ability to select background and music for the battle.
Perhaps a boss killer ranking system rather than simply 100 levels, goal to become the 1# boss killer! How about betting money rather than just winning?
Maybe the ability to save boss creations so other players can battle them or even a 2 player co-op mode.
