Great game - until level 5. The memory use suddenly jumps and the game begins to lag...until it freezes up. It appears to be a memory leak issue (at least on FireFox).
I think I may need a janitorial crew...after my other crew members get turned to red paste at the back of the ship from the effects of accelerating to 5 million mph in about 3 seconds while pulling away from a planet.
Great game - the more I play it, the more I like it. Only two suggestions:
1) maybe have the "exchange" function be related to the atomic mass or amount of particles in the exchanged materials (i.e. hydrogen being worth 1.008 points, and a carbon atom costing 12.011 points). Yes, this could screw up the game balance a bit (well, a lot), but it just doesn't feel right to cash in a hydrogen atom for a cesium atom...even with the exchange rate.
2) This would probably make it a lot more complicated, but...how about some kind of function for developing isotopes of the various elements? Deuterium, tritium, 13C, 14C, 238U, etc. Maybe have them be worth more in exchange or usable in some special way for evolution tasks.
@n8rtw: you need gold to level up your kittens; the level up option doesn't seem to show up until you've got everything you need for the new level.
There's a lot of info on the wiki - the link is to the Instructions box on Kong or you can find it by searching "kitten wiki" through your favorite search provider online.
Wow...I've seen five "rare" astronomical events in just over a year...perhaps these kittens need to research a dictionary and learn what "rare" means ;).
For those of you wondering where they get or got unicorns, gold, science, or whatever - read the wiki! The link is in the "instructions" box to the right of the "best" comment box!
Biggest problem with this game - you can have 1000 power more than your opponent, and lose. You can then spend a huge amount of silver on upgrading your equipment, embed gems, forge it into better stuff, and then attack the same opponent - and the combat ends exactly the same way as the first one. Waste of time, 1/5, do not play once you have the badges.
Wow - this one's coded even worse than the other "games" of this type on here. It crashes, hangs and freezes so often that one of the "helpful tips" that show up on the loading screen is "refresh your browser if it crashes"...
Got a "free month spirit covenant" - not sure what that is. Apparently, though, whatever planet this game is set on has a much shorter orbital period than Earth, since it informed me about an hour later that it had expired :P.
I hated this game the first time around...and loathed it the second...and howled my dismay to the heavens the third...and now KONG, KONG, LAMA SABACHTHANI! BOTD!
An armadillo riding a rocket followed by a variety of flying creatures wearing crowns, including a blue cat, a puppy, and a cracker...I think it's time to get my meds adjusted.
This game would be much better if damage was applied consistently. One person dies from just being grazed by another person, while another one gets crushed under half a building and lives.
