Am I the only one that's a little bit tired of 'these' sort of games? Sure, they were cool when Nerdook was a relatively new developer, but his games all feel like they use the same characters, just re-hashed with some dumb new mechanic. I'm sorry, but all of his games just feel the EXACT SAME, and it shows that, as a developer, he's very limited in what he can do. I'd like to see something with an original art-style at LEAST.
Nobody has to die. Except the poor guy locked in a room with no food and a stupid large amount of water contaminated with whatever it washed up from the rugs of the office. Yeah.
I don't fright easily. But for some reason, ringing the bell, while COMPLETELY USELESS AND OPTIONAL, made me really. . . uncomfortable. I kept feeling that either an easter egg or a jump-scare would appear with some kind of stupid looking face. I was disappointed and relieved!
Amazing game, but if you're using a laptop mouse that's partially unresponsive (like me) and use the keyboard, moving the mouse all the way to the save icon is a pain. I haven't found a quick-save button yet, so the autosave gets rid of a lot of hassle. Could you please add a quicksave key in EBF5?
Alright, I know this game came out like, a year or so ago, but was this inspired in any way by some of the old Warioland games on the Gameboy color? Those were my FAVORITE GAMES OF ALL TIME! Fighunter, y'all deserve a high-five from all of us on Kongregate.
This game lacks a distance counter. I'd understand if you wanted to create some immersion into the game, but honestly, having to just guess when I'm going to hit the end is a bit irritating. Other than that, the concept is pretty cool!
The controls in this game are fine, I don't see why people are whining. I don't want to be handed a game, I want to beat it. The 'buggy' controls can be fixed by quit being so damn lazy and hold a button down while you press the Spacebar. Are players really THAT incompetent now, that they mistake fine control schemes as buggy?
My only complaint is that my security takes too long to come back after chasing a thief. Long enough for like, three more thieves to come by and just barely make away with a few more hundred dollars of mine. Maybe the security shouldn't chase them at all, or is so, only chase them to the edge of the screen?
I think we all understand why these games happen; These uneducated blokes don't ever realize that you never accept Papa Louie's flyer ads! Have they even played a single Flipline game!?
If the jumping doesn't do anything other than make you feel like you're dodging enemy attacks (which it doesn't let you dodge enemy attacks, they still act as if you're on the ground) why is it in the game? It seems like a REALLY pointless addition imo.
I haven't played too far into the game, but that's my only quirk with it and I don't have much else to criticise.
The game is solid, nothing too ground-breaking, but the action really does what I expected it to do- Have guns and robots. And I'm all for developer donations, but doing it in a way that promotes buying weapons in a FLASH GAME? I'm sorry, but that's honestly a bit absurd. I wouldn't pay real money for a gun in a game that I'll probably be done playing by the end of the day. Otherwise, solid game Berzerk!
Extremely nostalgic and NES-styled game, the music, graphics, map layout, and feel really added to it. The puzzles really led me back in time to when I was a kid playing Zelda games on my Gameboy. My two only beefs with the game is that some areas are hard to distinguish as 'doorways', and the fact that there's no way to tell what treasures you mised. The doorway example can be seen in the *spoiler* lava temple, in the entrance to the boss lair, where I went in circles for half an hour until I noticed it with the help of a walkthrough. Otherwise, very polished and well done game, you should be proud of it!
A good tip I've found for this game is that you shouldn't sacrifice a life for the 'Extra Life powerup'. Sure, it seems like you're paying nothing for it, but you will lose your combo, which makes life taste a little more brown in the end.
