For the hard badge, I used the following configuration: Lv 3 cannon, Lv 4 cannon, lv 4 fire rate, Lv 3 flag, Lv 4 flag. As soon as I got money, I bought them in the order of 1, 3, 4, 2, then finally 5. I had exactly 15 medals before that. For the hard, with the configuration above, you need to face the final boss 4 times in total, spending the free time in destroying chests. You should also collect the money left by the destroyed ships. For the last boss, if you have the above upgrades, just move from left to right in first phase. In Phase two, circle in a ring opposite the Storm, and, when it gets to the right and shoots left, if it fires the rapid five homing balls, let one go over you, and another below. I found the badge to be extremely easy with this strategy. Hope it helps!
I would suggest working a bit more on the graphics. These maze games are rather common, and usually easy, so put in a bit more difficulty as well, maybe through moving obstacles? Polish up the paths so it is possible to beat a level without having to go out. Also, make the game auto lose on right click. Otherwise, it is easy to cheat. Overall, as it is a trial, I just say keep working on improving.
Okay, just a quick question from one developer to another. What code should I use to make an obstacle move objects? So far, all they've done is move off the screen, and never come back. Leave a shout or whisper on my page with your reply. Thanks,
-Karl
I wonder how the AI car is intelligent enough to leave the arena when I haven't managed to do it after 1 minutes vigorous driving. 2/5 for a fair try. Good luck next time!
When the comments slowly began to grow ominous... I have to agree, dev, you have creeped me out, completely. I now side with all the monsters of the world, even if just to protect them from eternal misery :P 5/5 for great concept and execution!
Repeating what others have said, a better board design would be appreciated. While it is good old school pinball, maybe you can try adding something new? Perhaps an enemy that you have to beat? Just keep at it. And if it is a Stencyl game, it hardly matters. Entertainment is the real measure of awesomeness.
Actually, I suggest you add some more meaningless stuff in the description. I knew what it was before I clicked the link to the game :P
On that note, I just lost the game (-.-)
Ok concept, bad execution, in some ways. You never need to shoot any other spiders except the ones on the road. Graphics are good in some places, but all living things look hazy. The spiders, especially. The bullets are a bit too big, in my opinion. Not very engaging gameplay. Overall, very good attempt. But it can do with some more work. Also, why the hell are they using an ambulance? :P Shouldn't a truck or van do better?
I seem to have fallen through the first boss and now I cannot kill him anymore :/ Aside from that, the guards are really too easy. They do not even react to ninja stars thrown at them. However, except the above, the game is pretty good.
Good game. Much better than the first one. Could do with a bit of a difficulty spike, but I guess it is supposed to be light and cheery. Overall, a 'well done!'. 5/5 and favorited.
Maybe gold should be awarded for distance traversed as well. The gold coins could be bonus money, and you get a certain amount of money simply for crossing a certain distance. For now, crossing large distances do not really have much incentive. Otherwise rather original avoider game with some pretty good graphics :)
Simple story and dialogues, coupled with simple graphics but a good sense of humor makes this game strangely fun despite the small details missing in it. Some things which could be fixed are the keys getting stuck, and a few typos. Otherwise, it is a fun, great game. 5/5 for an awesome effort.
I love the running blade levels. I kill myself in such artistic ways that I think that is what those levels should be about :P. Awesome game with nice graphics and simple premise. 5/5.
Not a bad game for a first one. Suggestions: More gameplay variety. The graphic style is nice enough. Overall, considering this is your first game, 5/5 :D
Played the game. My comments: Storyline = 4/5, Gameplay = 2/5, Graphics = 4/5, Sound = ?, Atmosphere = 4/5, Challenge = 1/5. Pros: Nice atmosphere, nice background, quite fun, narrator is interesting. Cons: EXTREMELY slow movement is a huge minus, animation wasnt too good, enemies were pushovers. Not a bad game, though not one I'd replay, thanks to the annoying walk speed. Overall: 3/5.
