pretty good attempt, catchy music; reminds me somehow of xevious. missing a health bar on the boss, though, and definitely needs better hit detection - enemy shots seem to go right through my right wing.
giving it a 2/5 -- my usual "just skip this" -- would up the rating, so here's a 1/5. are the triangles the zombies?
maybe greg's picked a bunch of really bad games this time around so we all go to play the kongregate card game. conspiracy!
most of the time i get the feeling i'm shouting out at the cannon "hello. would you please bother to turn towards the tank which is in the sight and which is shelling us?" at which point the cannon goes for coffee, comes back, says "what?" and turns towards the tank via the longest possible route, and then fires past the tank. this may be by design, but it also feels really frustrating to have non-responsive controls.
"exploitable" in this sense is "you can rotate all but the front few pixels of the rocket off the screen and then teleport through left clicking" which makes at least a couple of the levels dead easy.
a durian is an indonesian fruit with a spiky exterior -- harder than a pineapple -- that contains a custardy yellow flesh and several large (golf ball) brown seeds. the flesh smells like rotting flesh and tastes rather sweet.
jmiller: when a ball is in the ring the only safe time to switch is when it's right in the middle; otherwise it counts as a miss. probably making the balls "pop" would be better feedback.
