while it was fun to win, I was using a simple "bring three together and hope for combo" method. Extremely hard to foresee a combo, and the random placement screws you up anyways. Fortunately comboes happened quite often without my knowing how or why it happened. 3/5
This games difficulty is very well suited to their respective levels. If you are really losing on easy, you don't understand the mechanics of the game yet. That's all.
I have already beaten hard - after several hours.
The Beadle:
1. Yes, the smoke trails mean missles. Your anti-s don't shoot them because they have a very slow refire rate. LVL will shoot like 1 in 4.
2. Bunker defenses do not stack, wouldn't matter anyways since the aliens target the weakest building.
3. Focus fire would be good for the cannons, but the it is actually better for the nukes to scatter to avoid overkill.
Needs more hotkeys, waypoints, and such. Also a manuel that tells us what exactly it is all these buttons and research means would help. You sort of throw us in there without explaining what we are looking at. You didn't even explain what the goal was.
Now that i've finally beaten lvl 8. I can't believe it really took me several hours to achieve that goal...Once I did it right it was so easy I felt stupid.
Even More Bugs: You cannot build a spotlight inside the light radius of another when it is lit. If you build a farm after dark, it will operate like it is day.
You get a perfect when you achieve the best score possible. I had the same problem too. You not only have to hit the notes perfectly, you also can't touch the keys without a note. If you play when there is no note you lose points and so lose the perfect.
Now htat I think about it the merc in the 3rd chapter was like the MAtrix's Ghost. He would blur and the bullets would go through him. He used knives too...

Story was decent, although strangely similair to The Matrix.
Gameplay itself was waaay to easy. There was little chance to run out of ammo or even to die in the game. Also there were too few enemies. The RPG feel of shot damage and status boosting items are a nice touch.
