Good game, but I agree that some benefit to leveling up outside of just increasing the score multiplier would be nice. It'd also be nice to have a very small, but continuous increase in gold. It starts to get frustrating when you have a string 'shops' with no monsters, then suddenly get hit hard because you haven't been able to heal/upgrade.
It seems like there's only one unit that can do significant damage to me, so each level really just depends on being able to air strike it before getting killed...
I don't like these types of games, so I can't really say it's bad per se. As far as it being part of a quest, it becomes a lot more bearable when you realize that a lot of the badges don't really require you to be any good at the game, you just have to make a lot of sundaes, and you only need 20 of the 80 badges. Which means there will be 60 badges I'll never even try to get.
Ah, found them... ok, it shouldn't say you can view things in the 'main menu' when you can't, you can only view it in the pause menu; at the very least, that should be in the tutorial because it is not AT ALL intuitive
If you don't get the dodgeball achievement early, you can position yourself under the house so you don't collect anything. Gems collected by the house don't count against it.
This should be +1'ed. Good on ya for figuring it out.
