Is defeating Maji the end of the game? The game makes it seem like there's more once you "go to the surface," but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that. Is it supposed to be hinting at a sequel? It's not clear.
My strategy is that once I reach the highest shop I expect to make it to, I sell absolutely everything I can't take out of the cave, even equipment I'm wearing. I then use the wings as soon as my health gets too low after that. I can stock up on a lot of gold that way.
If you remove of overwrite the fireball spell slot in the beginning, you can't get the spell back until the fire talent tree unlocks, a couple levels later. There's also a lot of lag with the cursor's position.
If you try to give Zatricia's credentials for the chat, it says it's wrong information. It ought to have a message there, or at least say "no data" or something.
After a really short amount of time, you're able to completely sustain momentum, removing all challenge and making the game merely tedious. But I do love the cookie button!
