Another hint: Play music as you play this! Things with lots of fast, complex lyrics - and words that are unfamiliar to you. It really helps when you get stuck.
And if you need a good old point boost, here's some ways to use those rank 4-5 nukes with a lot of rank 1-3 multipliers: controversial, extrapolation, extravagant, extroverted, juxtaposition, quackery, quarrelling, quarterly, quickly, quietly, quixotic, underwater, underneath, understanding, venerate, winterize, yesterday. Good luck! =3
Merge every letter you can to replace your iron letters with brass and jade as soon as possible. You want 90% of your letters to level 1 and 2 jade letters, with a few jade rank 3 letters (U), and a few rank 4-5 brass letters (Y). Replace all your level 1s first, then move your brass letters up to level 2, etc.
The affixes in-, un-, -ous, -ing, -ate, -al, -ism, -ed, -ly, -ic, -ish, -ize, -y, and good old -s will let you 'reuse' words by making words that are "different." When typing, speed is the thing -- go for as many words as fast as possible. If you get a chance to type, try to combine your biggest iron, brass, and jade into one word - combining all three elements in a long word is the key to four-digit damage counts.
The magic number for day 1 is $1400: that's enough to get Radar Level 2 (see all the platforms) and Fuel Sucker level 1 (to refuel in flight). Extra cash goes into fuel tanks, fuel suckers, and magnets. Being able to see the platforms ahead of time AND get fuel from them makes it easy to extend Day 2's flight to absurd levels, so winning by day 3 is easy.
