Sucks. The katana is pretty much the only weapon to use. Not one zombie came close to getting by especially with all survivors in back firing away, then on some level- I don't even care which- every weapon I used just flew around out of control at the same time none of the survivors could hit a thing. It wasn't even worth cussing about, just quit game. One star.
Funny how that works...the side panel says that I hold the high score this week with 43,200 but I just finished the game again showing 161,430, and cannot save game as slot 1 -3 doesn't work.
Cool game. I've definitely blown a few hrs. getting to Zone 10 (lvl 11) but hell, the controls are so sloppy it's unbearable. While the program has the computer forces running full speed, I sit and watch my courser flying around with a mind of it's own, or stuck dead, again and again.
Yeah, this WAS a cool game. Now if you die once you lose all of your attributes, which pretty much halts all progress from that point on. So forget finishing @ level 28, you're done after you lose one life. That pretty much takes all the fun out of the game. 5 stars down to 2, maybe 3.
Yeah, the game starts out pretty good. But after putting some time in it starts to suck as is so typical these days. Around level 45 I started losing interest as Heavy Weapons started becoming less of a game and more of a job. Weapons are now inadequate, you stop accumulating money so you can't advance. Game over, game over, game over...screw that. So game over then. Time to look for something else a little more fun.
One redeeming factor is that when you finally do finish the game and max everything out, then you can kick it into high gear and sail along kickin sum butt almost unhindered which can be kinda refreshing.
Yeah, if there's one thing I really hate it's putting some time and effort into ANYTHING and reaching a point where I am inundated with bullshit that cannot be solved or over come, generally that's when the machine meets the wall and the of cussing the chickenshit game and programmers result. Some people never learn. =)
First of all, if your game hasn't got some sort of replay or restart then it probably ain't worth a damn from the word go. Secondly, I DETEST games that are a 'play til you lose' format. Mainly because in real life that's what training and practice are for...You get better at what you do- NOT progressively worse! Hello!!! Yeah, you reminded me of why I hated games like Galaga and Galaxian which were of the 'play til fail' mentality. Still hate it.
Cool game. Kinda reminds me of glorified Galaxian and Galaga. We played the shite outa those @ 5 tokens for a buck. Yeah, Starmageddon is challenging and fun. Great distraction for a couple hrs. Kinda wish there were a few more levels now but I'll be back to play level 13 a few more times cuz it still kicks my butt 50% of the time.
