This game could potentially be really good. The card play can be quite interesting and the variety of things to do is quite nice. However relying on the facebook game formula is a serious drawback. When I come to play a game I like to be able to play it, the whole oh wait, you now have to go 40 minutes before you can do anything again is just not an enjoyable system. If Tyrant really wants to make itself into a truly great game it needs to break itself out of that system and allow people to actually play. As is it's just not cutting it.
I think they missed an upgrade: Make Game Fun. If the game to get money for this was in the slightest way entertaining this game would be amazing. Sadly it's not. Also apparently there's a hidden upgrade since I've bought everything I could find easily and maxed out my ship but still no 100% upgrades. Oh well.
I find that the tanks are rather useless on most maps. When I have used them they usually have to destroy half the map to get to the guys on the other side. Also it bothers me that rankings go Major then Lieutenant when a Major is a higher rank.
Would be greatly improved if we have different types of tiles. Also I find it really annoying that your group is never together. I would like it much better if the group started together on the lowest level and experience for the round was shared with the entire group.
To travel across vast distances turtles get fired out of cannons, shot, blown up, kicked by giant bananas and burned by scorching hot suns. Santa however just sits in his tricked out sleigh drinking beer and getting naked. I think it's pretty clear who has the better deal.
I've been playing runescape for around six years now and I still come back to do more on a regular basis. It's an amazing game, and while it's not the flashiest it has an incredible amount of depth. Not being limited to a certain class is also nice, it allows one character to do anything in the game world and there's almost always a way to get something for yourself. The only thing that bugs me is like many mmos once you get to higher levels you're pretty much limited to grinding to get reasonable amounts of xp in a skill and that can get tedious.
I have decided that a lot of this game is simply luck. I played for 5 rounds and the one where I got 8000 for the card was by far the shortest since five cubes were almost always within range of each other.
I've been encountering a rather annoying bug where the wasd and arrow keys stop working as a method to move my character. The keys themselves work fine, I can type using them but as far as the game is concerned they aren't working which limits my movement to clicking monsters and items...
