This reminds me of old Atari 2600 era games where there were a whole bunch of slightly different game modes for the same game (there was a MODE button on the console.) Also reminds me of the old snake game Snafu for Intellivision. Well done!
Yeah, I don't like the scaling enemy levels. I went back the grind the first quest, and... WHAT??!! Every enemy kicks my ass. Why even have characters level up if it doesn't help you in a fight because ALL enemies level up too? I like all the new features and the inventory system, but every fight is extremely frustrating.
Great game, but the stupid ghosts are cheap. Not "hard" or "challenging", just annoying and cheap, when I have way more units than they do but 5 ghosts appear in front of the dog and one-hit-KO him.
At first I really liked this game, despite getting killed by lag and collision detection bugs a lot, it was fun. Then I beat the first world, and realized I had to BUY the next one with real money, or with hours of grinding the same 10 levels. Hmm... It's nice out, I think I'll go outside.
Game won't load, it just tells me to click "yes" for a java window that never pops up. The "Faq" entry for "why won't this game load?" just links to a generic FAQ for all Kongregate games full of things I already tried.
Too bad.
I like the idea of the game, but there are some annoying bugs like when you jump on gravity man while he's doing a regular jump, and the game registers a hit on Mario and not Gravity man. Also,the game DOES NOT SAVE ITEMS if you quit, so be careful. Also, I should have more than .5 milliseconds to get away after I hit an enemy, its not challenging, it's annoying and #1 cause of death for me. But I still gave it 4/5 because I can't stop playing it!
Aaaargh!!! It will not load any mp3s. I waited 5 mins, longer than the song I'm trying to load, nothing. I updated my flashplayer, still won't work. I tried using Firefox, Opera, and IE. I tried logging out of Kongregate and playing as a guest. I tried rebooting my computer. I tried 10 different songs. Nothing. It just keeps loading and loading and never lets me play.
Frustrating. I have no idea what's wrong. Is it checking Digital Rights? Will it only play songs I bought from Itunes or Amazon or something?
Meh. Controls and aiming are sluggish at best. Runs slow on my computer and is one of the only games here that does. It seems that there's only one map. 4/5 for the effort, but after 10 mins of Spawn, Walk, Shoot, Die, it's not much fun.
I noticed the level number in the lower right corner is a Pennsylvania state route sign. I can see how driving in the city in PA (Philly, Pittsburgh, Erie...) could inspire a game like this! Fun game, 4/5
