Same old theme song. It was good when you used it the first time, but come on now. Enough is enough. The gameplay is generic as hell, and while I realise it is generic on purpose, it's still generic, which only makes it worse. Gameplay is linear and flawed - how come my enemies can fly/shoot through walls and ground when I can't? The game is only difficult because of enemies attacking in larger numbers, and because of a number of bugs that I won't even care to mention. Poor game, I am disappointed.
Okay, so the giant rock freezes all of my characters and instantly kill them all in rapid succession with a single super-ultra-freeze-beam-attack on each one. Wtf?
The squid boss seems a tad bit unfair. I mean, it can summon allies, regrow its arms, heal/damage all friends/foes on screen, and has a huge amount of HP on top of that. Am I the only one seeing a problem?
I'm not even kidding when I say that I spent one full hour trying to find the free DLC for Mass Effect 2, and another half hour after that on installing them and making them work. Essentially, Kreds are as useless as the DLC payment. I do not want to pay any amount of money for things that should have been in the game from the very start.
I don't understand why you introduced the Kreds system in the first place, and even less do I understand why this game so shamelessly promotes the use of Kreds. Practically every time I lost a round, I would be reminded about how "OOOOH YOU WOULD PROBABLY NOT SUCK THIS HARD IF YOU BOUGHT THIS ITEM WITH SOME KREDS", wherafter the game spits in my face, huddles in the corner, and begins sobbing to itself because it realised that I just won't buy its god damn useless items with Kreds. It's like DLC for games like Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2 and Just Cause 2. Just put the damn items in the game from the very start, instead of having us pay some ridicule amount of money and deal with an unnecessarily complicated DLC download-and-install system every god damn time.
Capitalism, another thing that seriously annoys me. And now it's remarkably visible here on Kongregate as well. The "Kreds" have only served to ruin otherwise fairly excellent games, this one included, by taunting us with "superior" items that can only be bought with Kreds, which can only be bought with REAL MONEY.
It's nothing new. I have seen a lot of games similar to this, and the one it is closest related to is Toss The Turtle. I see the rocket, I see the cannon upgrade, I see an item that can save me from hazards, I see the ability to get further into the air by pressing a button, and so on. This game is nothing new, and I wish people would stop making these games. The best of them have already been made, and anything new will just be a rip off of the other games - JUST like this one.
Challenge 2 is nearly impossible, and even so it takes forever to accomplish. Challenge 4 is impossible because of pathetic AI that CANNOT BE DISTRACTED BY ANOTHER BOT IN THE VICINITY. It picks targets at random. I expect the maker to realise this, rather than presume that it won't pick random targets in this particular challenge.
This is... Pretty damn boring. I mean, when I see a game named "Life Annihilator", I kinda expect something slightly more and better than clicking white squares to make a field turn black. There's nothing to this game. It's about as fun as minimizing this browser window over and over again.
It's too easy on the later levels. By level 23, I had the best armour, the best gun, the best dog, and I could break open a car (which respawn) if I felt like getting more health or temporarily becoming invulnerable and invincible. It's a great time waster, and I had a lot of fun with it - Because it's one of my favorite game settings. Just me, some guns, and a lot of things to kill between me and where I need to be. It's so simple, yet so amusing. It's going straight on my favorite list, and I'm sure to play it occasionally when I'm bored - In class or something, I guess.
Thumbs up! You should make a sequel!
