1. It seems to me that the winged bombs explode when they are close enough to the gondola (on the bottom), not the envelope, and that this is true of all blimps, not just the ones with dark grey fins.
2. You can undo an upgrade reset by making any upgrade, then clicking the curved-arrow button that shows up.
Just got the windchill badge. I ended up using all plasmids on the Final City, putting all points into speed for slot 3 (all plasmids fire as fast as the one clicked), damage for slot 5, and life for slot 4; slot 4 moved to slot 2 when I had money for a fourth plasmid after repairs (life again), and the fifth (damage) kicked 4 to 2 and 2 to 1. Finally, since before wave 10 is the last chance to upgrade, I put all the points I had been saving up into life. 13 damage total, and all firing at the maximum speed of 13!
I did something I thought was impossible on the level I just cleared: I increased the quickness of my rogue to 105! (I thought 100 was the max because the description of cripple says it reduces the target's quickness to zero, while the status of a crippled enemy says it's been slowed by 100.)
On the other hand, I also accumulated another three deaths -- two mage (the same one) and one rogue.
I also got wiped out fighting a boss because I wanted to clear every floor, but on level 21 (and probably also because I was trying to cram as many purple items as possible onto my party, and took away my warrior's shield). I'm trying again now, with a more reasonable strategy towards purple items, and a rogue and mage replacing the warrior and ranger. So far, I've cleared 13 floors, used 4 shrines -- and racked up 30 character deaths! It seems at least half of those were the rogue.
I think it doesn't matter, not because you're using a rogue, but because your rogue's weapon is a dagger. (Only rogues can equip non-parrying daggers.) If your rogue equips another kind of melee weapon, e will lose dexterity's damage boost; if e equips a ranged weapon, e will lose strength's boost. In either case, e will also lose the +5 quickness given by even non-magical attacking daggers, although the new weapon might have a magical speed boost.
Intellect increases the power level of clerics' and rangers' healing abilities, but warriors' Resolve is increased by Endurance instead. No stat increases health regen, except through rangers' Nature's Balm.
There is no highest level; story mode is the first 9 levels, ending with the battle against the Corruptor (hence the badge name). I died on level 20 or so using the default party (one of every class but rogue), and I am now trying again with a rogue, cleric and 2 mages. I'm planning to use Sap Strength against the Corruptor -- anyone know how much power Dark Mirror uses?
I completed the game but didn't get the badge --Malus Domestica Connoisseur -- until I reloaded. If you run into the same bug, try reloading!
And Tektile, it's West-South-*West* ( between the west and southwest portals) -- the directions are separated by the commas in the hint.
