Really loved this game. Wish there was more than just an easy badge, like a medium badge for beating the slime boss with no upgrade points invested. Would love to see a sequel with more bosses and abilities upgrades.
Relaxing, fun twist on the connect 2 points genre. Difficulty was very low, would have liked more 2 color-only puzzles with unique solutions, and more puzzles where placing certain lines first blocks the ability of other lines to move into place. Also, please adjust the UI so that letting go of a line on top of the mute/retry/home buttons doesn't unintentionally activate them.
Weak blocks are a poor design choice. This game is all about keeping the player reacting to new obstacles quickly one after the next. Slowing down the chaos and adding artificial difficulty by making them go back and forth repeatedly is really painful. Either make the weak block actually weak and disappear after a single hit, or add a mechanic where running past levers toggles walls/floors so running around in the same space is actually interesting.
I really like the new additions to game. I'd like to propose two suggestions to increase the fun factor of the game: 1) don't let us lose lives from the bonus rooms...the difficulty is a nice challenge but the game becomes less enjoyable because we can actually game over practicing them. I had to repeatedly go out into the world and replenish health, just to come back and try the bonus room again. 2) make that upgrade shop available in various locations and reduce the price for special moves...they seem really fun but there is barely any time to use them.
So far I'm 71% through on 'Pain' doing my first playthrough, and having an absolute blast! The music, weapons, bosses, all executed very nicely. Really have to think about which combos you use, and I love how hard the bosses are! Wish I could pull up the map anytime, and restart at checkpoints without saving to prevent accidental hostage deaths, but those are minor in comparison to how much fun I am having. Really wish more bullet hell + metroidvania games existed!
Super awesome game! Metroidvania is such an enjoyable style of game, too few of them are made. Blind 100% run in 40 minutes. Wish the bosses were harder, beat them all without getting hit. Keep up the great work!
Yes it is not 100% original to be honest. Most games nowadays are major improvements of a certain mechanic *cough* battle royale *cough*. Although I can say this is still 60 - 70% original, I can agree with that too. Thank you very much for your feedback :)
Fantastic game, amazing series. One little correction...regarding Tina's death, she was supposed to have survived for at least one minute after injury, but during the multiple choice sequence this answer is counted as wrong. It only accepts '=1 minute' as correct for some reason.
One of my favorite game series on here for the longest time! Those multiple choice solving sequences are so unique and awesome, but it kills me having to spend 5+ min whenever I need to get back to a part I failed.
Very cool and challenging puzzle concept! Feels like you reinvented KenKen puzzles by twisting around a couple of the rules and the board shape. Well done!
Her dialogues can be disabled anytime, from the main/pause menus :)
