Just for conversation's sake, I was wondering about the odds of a gold chest in the Mysterious Cave. If I've figured this correctly, there are 39 possible paths to take -- (1+3+9)*3. If that's right, does that mean I have a 1/39 chance of a gold chest, or is there more than one possible gold chest?
Also, any preferences for going through the cave? I've been using left-left-left, center-center-center, and right-right-right, and usually getting at least one silver chest that way, often two.
If it helps at all, once you complete the guestbook quest (or maybe it's another quest?) one reward is 13 bags of fodder. Doesn't help on the front end, but maybe accelerating a few sheep might help you out in the next few days?

Event Question -- For one of the final quests, you have to "Have 33 Toothy flower roots on The Spooky Rose Garden." However, I count only 30 such plants. Before I sink all that energy and planks into this quest, are there 3 hidden plants somewhere, or perhaps it all works out somehow?
I really like this game; it's smooth, clear, and fun for the most part. However, it kind of hits a plateau fairly quickly, and cannot overcome the Grind factor that many other games face as well. This has a good early game and mid-game appeal; the end game perhaps needs a little work. Thanks for this!
I've noticed in the last few events, they're expecting you to plant specific kinds of things from the store menu. At least these stubborn plants are listed under "plants"; there was an event not too long ago where the needed plant was in "Sale" for some reason.
I've had a vague memory of the Halloween event being my least favorite from the year, and now I remember why. It's messy and confusing, although now that I have 10 others to compare to, it's maybe not quite as bad as I remember. (Still not a favorite, though.)
To be fair -- 1) It's often difficult to see the yellow highlighting, 2) Sometimes quests require a certain number of a particular animal, 3) People just make mistakes.
Well, made it to Level 3. Not sure what else there is to do here; the addition of a port didn't really seem to add much. Thanks for a week of mild fun. I'm outta here.
Okay, this didn't take as long as I thought it would, and as idle games go, this one isn't terrible. The graphics are crisp, and the flow is fairly intuitive. Unfortunately, I'm just not much of an idle game player to stick with it beyond the badge.
I'm just curious what other possibilities there might be for the comment, "Some things in this game hurts its progression." Such a cryptic statement in many ways, but without any other explanation, many of us have naturally interpreted this as financially based.
My two cents on all this is that it feels overall like a 3-star game to me. I agree with much of what both Kit and W4M are saying. There's a lot of fun stuff here, but there's also a good amount of problems too. So, somewhere around 3 stars feels reasonable, at least to me.
Does anyone else see the irony in the title for the second medium badge -- "Expected Nothing and Still Disappointed"? Reminds me of a game I recently played where the badges didn't work ...
