Yeah, I wanted something slightly different than usual. And arrows keys are also universal. As I have a french keyboard, sometimes it's boring to change my keyboard in a WASD type.
By "each game is (pseudo)randomly generated", the dev means the levels will be in different orders for everyone, so asking about 'level [whatever]' isn't going to help since everyone will have a different puzzle for that level number. (And by the way, thanks for implementing that, IcyLime.)
At first I thought, "Awesome: UI improvements for Light-Bot!"; but after seeing that the Kong version contains only old levels I decided to play innomin's F.P.S. if I want this kind of programming puzzle.
I got level Sigma-3 in 15 code statements. Beat that! (by the way, innomin, if not for this game then for a sequel api would be awesome so we could compare solution efficiency).
here's an 11 (sorry, couldn't resist =) ). [ccw][loop:A][eye:black,B][set:white][^][goto:A][loop:B][^][eye:black,C][goto:A][loop:C]. You could share like that for now, but 2fps will be getting an editor and highscores. =)
The 'normal' pieces function as kings for capturing purposes, and kings are just ridiculous (bishop moves, but with jumping allowed at arbitrary distance). It's interesting, but, as it stands, it's not any form of checkers I am familiar with.
Interesting. Hard to get the hang of, but definitely interesting. I'd probably prefer more of a survival mode to see how far you can get rather than stopping at 100 (but I haven't managed to get that far yet).
In response to your query in the "updates" section, I am using Windows 7 and have not experienced problems seeing the safe deposit boxes (I haven't tried using them). I'm running the game in Chrome.
Took me quite a while to get the hang of the controls. I would have appreciated a tutorial which walked me through solving one (perhaps almost solved already). Now that I understand the controls, I think they would work better if the circles did _not_ perform the 'switch with adjacent' when you rotate, since you could get the same effect by rotating and then clicking, and I keep finding myself rotating, then having to click to switch back from the auto-switch. Just my 2 cents on what is an interesting game now that I understand it.
Very interesting and unique. I would appreciate some hints as to how to place your spells. It took me a while to realize putting them under the orbs saved them, I was trying to place on to to protect from falling arrows.
Okay, great! I actually thought about adding that, however I was worried it would make the game too easy. However, with a complete lack of a tutorial, I could understand that this could be very frustrating.
Thank you very much!
You can keep clicking the daily slots, but it costs 2 'tokens' (get them by selling cards) per play after the first per day. That should be better explained.
Clearly most of the people posting about "real Mahjong" have never played it. It is a four-player game, not a puzzle. Real Mahjong is closer to poker (but with tiles) than the puzzle "mahjong" game.
