why the heck isnt the movement/jumping mapped to the arrow keys, and the color change on the left hand somewhere. I keep getting key conflicts when trying to jump right and change to red in mid air.. (d+w+k keys).
Its at the point where as soon as i arrive at new nerdook game page, I just rate it 5/5. It saves me from having to stop playing to remember to do it later..
The physics in this game flagrantly break the laws of thermodynamics (water overflowing a container and into a pipe that carries it upwards?) at times, but the puzzles are good nonetheless, though i wish it didn't start out with quite so many 'filler' easy ones
fantastic buried gem that i found by clicking recommended games sidebar. great strategy once you understand how it works. Too bad the lack of coherent english instructions probably hold this game back (the english instructions on the version on the dev's site are much more comprehensible).
I love this series very much, and the addition of flammable pumpkins adds a neat little dynamic not present in previous games. Good job Gaz, crossing my fingers it gets badges..
very neat game, i learned a lot.
In future sequel i think what would be neat would be additional modes where you are rewarded for making a correct diagnosis faster (either in terms of number of examinations given, or in terms of real time seconds elapsed), and with a penalty for incorrect diagnosis. Maybe add it as a bonus challenge mode for after you reach a certain level (so there are enough options available) with the goal of getting a high score given only a certain number of 'lives' (incorrect diagnoses or too long responses, say). Glad this finally got badges or id never have seen it, look forward to a sequel.
@Farrhago: If poison is up on both people, then it deals the damage for that turn, but cancels out any amount htat is in common (from both people). ie, if you have 10 poison on you, and opponent has 6 poison on him, then it will deal 10 damage to you and 6 to oppo this turn, and cancel 6 poison from each of you (leaving you with 4 and oppo with zero). Its completely fair, just deal more poison damage!
Wow this is a really good piece of fiction by itself, and the fact that you can only uncover a bit of the story at a time only makes it even more complex/creepy/impressive. I love all the 1998 references, takes me back. Instant 5/5..
Holy crap, this game is great. Lately, nerdook is my new favourite dev (move over jmtb02, sorry). Amazing output of diverse and creative games released at a fast rate. Keep up the great work!!
small bug (and crazy unlikely one): I went for 'dont date anybody for entire game' achievement and at the exact end of the game i saw guy of dreams so i figure better grab him to get that ach. Got him almost exactly as i got to 50 yrs/game end. In end i got both 'dated' guy of dreams' ach AND 'dated nobody' ach awarded. Ending screen showed lover, but '0 yrs' relationship. Prob shouldnt be able to get both those achs in one run (mutually exclusive).
great game, nice to see unique stuff from time to time
This game is really fantastic, one of the best factory type games, right up there with codex. Two observations: (1) the early difficulty ramp was very slow - i almost got bored of the game due to how easy the first 10 or so levels seemed, luckily i stuck with it, and the later levels and all the 'other island' levels are all amazing. (2) Its sort of annoying that tile producers always seem to create a tile on the first turn. While this is handy for simple tile-pathway driven designs, when i get to more complex designs i prefer to use externally triggered systems, and it irks me that there is always a 'waste' tile. It would be great if you had the option to toggle the starting power of copiers on/off like you can with every other piece of powered equipment.
