Starts to suffer from browser-only AdCap syndrome sometime around the duo/tredecillions. It's not quite 'heat death of the universe' bad by then, but it's not the 1000x gems of restarts after leaving a finished map sit for a day gone by (took some weeks to get 10x gems).
Things you should really change to make the game more fun:
1. The tiers are terrible, idle games rely on numbers getting bigger faster every time you restart and you've got it so that I have to pay 10 times as much for an item that boosts my income by 3. Not even 3 times, 3. Yes you'll have to make magic snowflakes more expensive to compensate for this but it'll be more satisfying to go for those higher tiers.
2. Magic snowflakes ought to be based on how many total snowflakes have been generated, NOT just how many the player has at the moment. Otherwise the player can potentially be screwed out of reset currency and have to wait for the stockpile to build up again.
3. Buy 10/100/max buttons as already mentioned, achievements that increase production, etc. Look at other idle games for more ideas on quality of life improvements.
'Smart' would be automatically heading for the nearest pickup, not just any random coin directly. There's often times where the elf will go across the couch and walk away from coins that are much closer. Also I wish the tap hat's range combined with the swipe collection, even though that would make it vastly easier.
...ok, resetting the game did at least make it so that a cursory glance might make one THINK the town's levels weren't resetting after refreshing the page/leaving and coming back, except my mana generation is pretty clearly not what it was before I left the page and returned when I'm training a skill. Something's still broken!
Hmm. Possible that this is a display thingy, because I haven't implemented any nerfs yet. And we didn't pick up on this problem in QA passes, but I'm thinking its because your legacy game is somehow not jivving with the new build. Thank you BDR1985 - I'm going to look into this hardcore. The hardest of cores in fact.
Hi, I came back since I saw you commented on my comment about working on the problems! I see it mentions the problem with town leveling resetting being fixed but, uh, it didn't happen with my game. I'm going to try a reset and maybe even a hard reset to see if it's just the pre-fix game data being goofed up.
I'm going to respond to your comment above, but I just wanted to give you a digital high five here for coming back and looking into this for us. Your suffering will turn into joy for thousands of other players, I swear to you.
I wish I had some other way to tell what good the unlocks did besides just the blue box that appears and disappears, other games have achievements pages for this kind of thing so you don't have to watch the game to know what's happened so far. Also that skill level bonus loss after refresh and prestige is a killer, probably not coming back if that hasn't been fixed when I refresh the page.
Word. That's a good point on the first thing you mention. I'm making a note. For the second thing you mentioned, I think we just fixed it, but I don't want to be a liar, 'cause my mom raised me better than that. If you wind up not coming back, could you let us know if it's broken if you do? Appreciate it, bro.
Cool game, but I managed to clip through the geometry by using the rope while hanging from a ledge. Nothing to do but start the stage from the beginning. :/
Ech, I know "attractive force of kindergarteners" was probably not 'supposed' to be something that could show up, but the RNG doesn't know any better when it comes to words that don't belong together and needs a good smacking with some newspaper.
mariebu: Did they destroy a gate? I've seen them reclaim territory by destroying the farthest forward gate.
In other notes, I feel very stuck at tredecillions of gems. I leave for at least a week and I come back to not even doubling the amount I have - maybe next week I can buy the buildings I need to triple total production or whatever but I have a feeling my gems will still be under 10x my current total when I come back the week after that.
Weird, the achievements are crediting me with having bought both of the ancient era wonders somehow. Also, the "advance era" button never went away even though I haven't bought a classical era wonder - while I haven't tried to see what happens when I say yes, you might want to fix that.
Sorry, should have said *only* item requirements. I saw some quests that had no stat requirements which didn't have bonuses to the speed like ones with stat requirements.
I've looked into this, and it 'seems' to work for me. I'll double/triple check. Keep in mind the speed bonus is +.2 for each item above the requirement.
LOL of course after I make that comment I look again and find I have it. I'm not sure if the game just hadn't updated right or if it's what I initially suspected and you have to have all equipment and consumables on hand and I just misremembered checking back to see if that got me the trophy.
I'll check the update function. Maybe it will award the trophy if you quit the game to the menu and then back to the game, or pass a week or just switch between interfaces.
Let's see, the game size is really small, there's absolutely no indication that you even can move around the view with the arrow keys anywhere, and you can easily stick buildings on top of resources to make them inaccessible by clicking and presumably the villagers too. This isn't what I call user-friendly.
The current mastery level requirements would be fine if I could earn creations while offline. It'd be okay to do it like Idling to Rule the Gods instead if the requirements were lower. As it is, though, tier 2 generally takes fewer materials than tier 1 and yet still is going to take probably the better part of a day at 2400 creations required and if I'm reading it right I get no benefit from reforging before reaching tier 3 materials or getting any mastery stars. There doesn't seem to be any indication of how much good a star will do for reforging so I don't even know if it will be worth it to make a bunch of soil in the end beyond I guess making it so I'm ready to make plants once I get wind and light if I still care by then.
The animations made me laugh and are the best part. Too bad they weren't supposed to be jokes and the rest of the game couldn't follow it up even if they were!
I wish I could combine items more than once. If you're worried about the balance, make a four artifact limit (one per hero) that can be taken with you after resetting which then can be recombined once for that playthrough. Then we can avoid having to start from near scratch every reset and get fun ridiculous heirlooms to boot after 20 resets or something.
What do I need to do to satisfy the value chain for local trade group alliances? None of the buildings require them and it's annoying for them to be stuck at 0% (whatever that really means, anyway).
Thank you for your message. I will take it into consideration. I'm working on new improvements / features.
