I give you 3 stars instead of 5, for two reasons: 1: no save when you die. 2: no explanations - how does the magic work? Why did I suddenly lose my magic when I got the dragon sword? What is "proc" anyway? What's the difference between "extra critical" and just "critical"? And so on. You would get 5/5 from me, if you just let us restore the game after dying, and provided some better details, maybe even a storyline.
Woudl be helpful if the surveyor would report _before_ I start mining - it's too late to shift my base. Also, a minimap would be incredibly useful, just because scrolling takes so long.
The contracts are too hard to get - e.g. by level 15 I've still only found one spit flower seed - despite killing every one I come across; by the time I can actually get any of these, I'll be too high a level to need them.
Good game, but the rewards need to scale better. The chests, for instance, have very little in them - would be better to have them rarer, but more valuable. As it stands, the most efficient way to play seems to be to rush through each level as fast as possible, since the gold you can pick up on the side is worth very little.
Good game, but loses points because the monsters sometimes reappear when water falls on areas they used to be - this makes some levels (e.g. 16) extremely difficult, much more then they should be.
Two minor improvements needed: First, a little note at the bottom of the screen "you are fighting boss X" would be really nice. Also, when you lose hearts, if you could leave an empty heart outline it would let us see at a glance how many hearts have been lost.
