Super fun! As before, it's better to completely kill everything on a level before moving onto the next level because it's tougher to farm gold on the next level when you're underpowered. Always try to select a dwarf right before you're about to die, as they sell upgrades for a cheaper price than at the store, but they will disappear if you don't have enough gold to purchase their offering.
Cave ends at lv. 80. At each merchant, sell any weak gear that is not an artifact and buy all potions. Reaching the end before you max out the stat tree (which can take FOREVER) requires lots of potions, gear that regenerates health/mana, and the Heal spell. That's it. After that, it's just *click click click* when you need to restore your health.
I wanted to get the "spend 5 minutes in slow motion" badge, but every time I try, even with low quality turned on, the game crashes because of massive memory leaks. Too bad...
so...the hard badge just means hiding above the screen for 20K meters while regenerating health because there's no way to see what is going on. Why is that a challenge?
PROTIP: There are only three floors, and once you go to the next floor, the enemies get harder and you can't return to the previous floor. So once you're strong enough to kill all of the enemies on a floor, DO NOT battle at the door until you are strong enough to one-hit all of the enemies. This makes farming gold/XP faster.
Only two endings? Doesn't seem like there's much incentive to do New Game+ more than once. Still a fun game. FYI, if you click on "NEW" on the binary code at the end, that choice flies away and you have no choice but to click "LOAD" in binary.
FYI, you get a different ending if you play through the game without ever using the EXTRACT command on any of the computers (other than the very last WPA3 computer)
Just a grind. Don't use your tickets until lv. 8 (they'll be worth the most coins then), and don't use your keys until you've purchased at least the 50,000 helms and the 40,000 weapons. Don't purchase 150K weapons until you've used your keys, otherwise you'll miss out on the most powerful legendary weapons.
Pity when these old flash games don't stand the test of time. Now there's a major memory leak and the game gets unplayable when it takes up 3+ GB of RAM...
I think a week was more than enough time to spend on it :)
