It could have been a nice idea. However the complete lack of balance ruins it.
All the cannons are equal, but the last one that is crazy good. Moreover you can unlock the last one without unlocking the previous ones.
Cannons, even the last one, are however way worse then third level troops. The only strategy needed is a 3-slot thick wall full of Greenjacket around your base. You build it, and then you launch all the waves. Pretty lame.
Moreover, after wave 10 the game is pretty much ended, it doesn't get harder, it's just a matter of time. Hard levels are just longer then easy ones.
With a bit more thinking around it could get a good game.
I confirm Chaos Kudos badge is badly implemented: if you already have it, it will not be counted. I tried completing again the last stage, I tried going in the achievement page, nothing happens. The achievement is there, shining and nice, but the badge doesn't pop.
Nice new elements, neat gameplay.
You have lost the 5th star from me just cause the game isn't really polished.
In particular, the AI is really basic (he built 3 transports in the last mission while I was attacking his base and he had no other unit), as a consequence the game is mainly a way to spent time, no real thinking needed (even if the neat mechanics would allow a big strategic edge if it was worthed thinking about it). 4/5, 5/5 if there will be a new update with some thinking needed.
Level 10 hard.... level 11 harder... then very easy untill 19. Now I'm convinced that lvl 20 is impossible with my spec, I just can't kill them quick enough... probably with less hp and more laser damage would have been possible.
Give the possibility to reallocate upgrades or something after death, the game doesn't allow for a lot of skill, it's mainly straightforward. To repeat the same thing over and over until you randomly succeed is boring.
The perfect example of how a puzzle game should NOT be build. Straightforward, no out-of-the-box thinking, no strategy, only one working solution that can be however found by trial and error. 2/5 just cause it looks nice.
VERY nice game. Plz, don't make it more complicate, it has already a lot of strategic space to master. The only real problem is that it's too hard to learn, a lot of strategic trade off aren't easy to see at the beginning. I would do a nicer tutorial explaining where the strategy really is: split enemy territories and separate economic balance of the different zones, I wasted a lot of time with unit starving without understanding why that was happening. I think the low rating reflect people leaving the game before understanding how it works.
Quite crappy.
Strategically insignificant: one laser in each floor and the game is finished (actually I completed the game while studying), utterly impossible without lasers.
Moreover the man is both useless (after level 3 at least) and boring as hell to use (shoot with mouse? Really?).
The whole elevator mechanism it's both crappy and useless: there aren't enemy specific weapons, so there is no reasons to switch elevators.
3/5 'cause I like TD games.
Nice game, but the upgrade system isn't good. Upgrading is too easy (and you can just play 100 times the first track to upgrade to max), without upgrading it's impossible (I think)... I'd use a different upgrading system. Nice game however, quite funny riding system.
Very nice game, kinda bad that I can't complete this again now... I completed it before the badge, I haven't time now to go though it again... but really nice, I hope I'll have time to give a shot to it in the weekend. Real skill needed.
It's a relaxing game, it's not that important how many points you get. Furthermore there woudn't be any point in an high score board, the score it's kinda luck based.
I got x10 in a game, taking all yellow and no red and x37 in another one, taking all yellow and some red... the yellow, purple and red things dropped is random...
If i had to vote the downloaded version, 5/5, no doubt. But the Kong one isn't above 4, since it lags (even with low quality and no effects, 3Gb of free unused RAM and 500kB/s unused internet bandwith). And 1 or 2 lags spike in a song is a really big downside, cause you could be unlucky and ruin a perfect streak for that reason. And I get very upset when that happen. 4/5.
Really great game :)
Some more variety could be nice but not that much, the nice thing about this game is the neat feeling. Maybe some running women to slaughter :)
The only nice addon could be a round shadow under the peasants so that you can avoid them easier, sometimes isn't easier to understand if you are in the right position.
PS: answering to "after a bit of Double and Perfect there isn't anything else to see", there are "Triple" and "Amazing" too (hard to achieve below 2k points) :-)
Nice game (not very original, but it's not a requirement :)
I played just single player, two bugs found:
1- In the end of a game the AI had 1 mage and the healer still alive. I completed my turn, and the Win splash screen popped up, even if there were a mage alive.
2- The point sistem got screwed up toward the end... it went back to 171 around level 8-9 and then I completed the game with 0 points done.
Btw, nice game, you could polish it a bit with more units/upgrades, bigger chessboard and more effects from experience, now it gets kinda boring after a bit.
