Great concept, crap UI. Should be able to click commands to set them. Need to be able to insert commands. The art on the left and right turns look like they turn the wrong way (just make them arrows).
The hired mage acts retarded when an enemy comes up behind. Instead of just turning around and shooting, he runs off the left side towards the guy and gets stabbed.
Gawd, I knew I'd have to re-earn the money, but now I have to re-beat all the races too. Listen, you know you are going to want badges on your game, so program it correctly from the start.
This is awesome. Some things to make it awesomer: Feedback on upgrades, like the gate speed one. (Some plane upgrades are visible.) Some way to get extra money when you have delivered all of your people, like cheap mail runs. Don't let passengers board a plane just passing through; I would rather send one just for them so they don't have to come to Chicago by accident.
Oh, also pointless without card balance. Sanity almost covers the notion of paying more for a better card, but then there is the Miskatonic University card. Wtf.
All this game needs is to start each level paused. So annoying trying to get it to recognize the first pressing of space without hitting it too many times and just unpausing.
To do well in this game you have to play like the Germans. Just run to the top of the screen. You'll score one point for the wave that arrives and can't stop you, and one point for making it to the top. Any germans on the screen when you transition disappear; you don't need to stop them. Easy to get a tank, but your guys will probably get killed around the time you get a second. But since the invincible airstrikes only come if you try to stop and build defenses, there is no reason to not just keep driving north with two tanks then.
A technical triumph for the medium. But basic RTS failures. Queueing up for the resources doesn't work, units standing around are drawn away with no limit and don't return to their original spot. Go play Generals and work on that stuff.
