Another example of a game that looks good, but just isn't fun.
I can't stand these types of games that give you items that have tons of mods. I don't want to spend the time deciding between the ring with mana regen, str, dex and life leach and the ring that has bonuses to int, wis, life regen and damage resist. Oh, and battles got boring real fast.
The game is ok - 3 stars. Negatives: lack of polish, totally linear, and the ending...?!?! You probably spent 5 hours typing in all the descriptions of the areas in the game and spent 30 seconds on a three sentence ending.
Equipment was really confusing. It took me a while to figure out that everything was getting progressively better, and the +1 really means "+1 compared to what you have on now."
I can't like this game. I feel cheated. I want to say it was fun, but it wasn't. I want to say it was a challenge, but it wasn't. I want to say it had a good story, but it didn't. I want to say it was beautiful, but it wasn't. I want to say that the endings were worth it... you get the idea.
Fun game, but one thing if you are going for any sort of rating, only the first 3 adventurers are useful. The other 4 just can't advance quickly enough.
This is a game I WANT to like, but just can't. A tragedy of a well made game engine that simply lacks in gameplay. My problems: 1 - forst and foremost, this is a grindfest. I lost interest quickly. 2 - pets. or should I say 'trained shields'. Pretty much useless and far too fragile. Maybe should have regenerated health OR been able to buy healing items for them. 3. Enemies. Beetle. Red beetle. I quit after seeing scoripion again. 4 - quests. Fetch only. Boring!. 5. Equips. There should be an equip screen, so that your shield and armor don't take up inventory space. 6. Poision. Boring to me, lethal to my pets. 7. Story. Maybe I just didn't play far enough, but there was none. 8. Character Development = auto levelup. Enought said.
Small bug - When pulling more than one enemy at a time and having the "wait for CD button" checked, after one enemy is killed all attacks stop until all skills refresh.
Meanwhile, enemy 2 keeps wailing away...
Fairly good beta here - there is much more potential. Suggestions - the equips are boring so far. Make more dynamic equipment, perhaps only when crafting. There are a ton more mods that you can put on equipment - + rest speed, + attack speed, + straight up damage, + damage resist, + damage threshold, + better drops... As for crafting - I never seem to have enough material to create anything near as good as I can simply buy at the market. More equip spots? (gloves, rings...).
