Very fun game but it feels like it's still in beta in terms of balance, so it'll call for an improved re-release later on. The problem is that it's way too easy for a long time, practically all the way to 100, at which point it all of a sudden becomes impossibly difficult to get that much further.
Work on making it more progressively difficult as time goes on instead of just suddenly pumping up the difficulty massively around level 100.
Jounin... he's not ripping off the other Kongregate TD game. TD's did not originate here. I played my first TD in a warcraft 3 custom game probably 5 or 6 years ago, and they probably existed in starcraft before that, and who knows maybe they existed before that. They aren't new.
Those of you complaining about the hackers that "go through walls"... You're probably mistaking the teleport item for hacking. The hackers mainly just boost their stats so they can jump across the level in one jump.
to anyone that hates it and thinks they won't be able to complete the challenge, just keep trying and you'll get a lot better at it. initially i couldn't get anywhere close to 12,000 but I finally obliterated that and got 16,410 :D
as for the game itself.. it's good. but not good for a challenge. too annoying to try and get the score that high and this seems like a game that should be relaxing instead of frustrating
It's good but it's good a huge gameplay problem... The fact that you lose half your score on an out. Games are meant to be fun, and it seems with that particular rule you forgot that and in an attempt to insert challenge instead just made a rule that serves no good purpose except to piss the player off.
Other than that pretty major issue it's pretty good.
Had to rate it a 2 for the following reasons:
1) Don't like the keyboard/mouse control scheme.
2) My game ended when I fell through the floor somehow and nothing else would happen after that.
3) Overall lack of graphical polish.
1. Needs better graphics
2. Needs better collision detection
3. Assuming #2 is done, level design needs to be geared more towards fun than impossible and random.
I wanted to like it but I had to rate you a 2 for a couple reasons... 1) it's sloppy. no reset/replay button? that's standard. 2) too easy. while the point is obviously to look around, recognize letters, and hit the keys, it's actually a lot faster to just pound all the keys as fast as you can.
Not a game, 1 star. Normally I try to be tolerant of the effort but it's painfully obvious you weren't even trying to make a game and you just want the ad revenue.
I enjoyed it, but nix the mouse controls if it's primarily keyboard controlled. Not everyone has things positioned where it's convenient to use the keyboard primarily then randomly switch to the mouse every once and a while to click things.
