Interesting game but I really don't like the combat interface at all. I always go to grab the "timer" above the characters instead of the characters themselves. Plus, they need to switch to another target when they've killed one.
Now for suggestions, I'd love to see some shop upgrades like we had for the Papa games. Maybe a buzzer or timer to let us know when our ore is at the right temp? Or how about being able to buy guides to help us line up parts? I love the ability to buy various parts. I'd like to be able to a couple different indicators other than just "bookmarked" though. Maybe have 1 bookmark for the weapon you're building (and be able to display the recipe in the window you're making it in), another bookmark that flags parts that you want to hold on to for complete or near complete recipes, and then another bookmark for a "watch list" of items that you'd like to find. Also, I'd love to see a way to decorate your wagon-shop. Maybe trophies from some of the monsters you've killed? Maybe have different ornamentation awarded by the various achievements you accomplish? That would be a nice little extra bonus. Anyhow, I love this game!
I love this game! It's so much more fulfilling than the Papa games (which I was also addicted to for stretches). As others have said, I love to see the fruits of my labor on the battlefield. I have a couple minor complaints and a couple suggestions. One of my complaints is that it's so difficult to line up the handle parts on pole-arms. I don't know why but they always seem to be at some whacked angle. I also have trouble knowing where to stretch the bows to. My other complaint is that sometime the loot from the battles is obscured by my fighting party or the icons that line the bottom that tell me what's to come. By the time I see some of this loot, it's too late to get it.
So I'm really enjoying this but I'm running into a couple issues. First, I played for a while and then stopped, and came back to it a couple hours later (closing the browser). All of my progress was gone. Does this not save? Also, when I first played the game, I could perform the special move with the space bar. Now when I hit the space bar, it scrolls down the screen on me. It takes me to the comments. What gives?
Not a bad game to start but the auto-pause is driving me nuts! I'm moving my mouse around to get away from the aliens and it accidentally goes off the screen and pauses me. It's become so I can't play it. I've got to stop playing this until there is an option to turn this off.
So the stupid Megalodon is impossible for me to beat at level 6 without getting help from other players somehow or buying combat "buffs". I'm getting killed in about 5 turns. Not fun.
I've always enjoyed the Protector series and the MPP games but this one just didn't hold my interest for very long. I don't know if it's just that I've played the MPP games enough or if the Legends of Arkandia games are just so much better (while incorporating aspects of the MPP series) that it's made the MPP games obsolete.
I saw Garin mention that the Cloud Save wasn't available at Kong. Is that just temporary or is it permanent? I guess I'm wondering if that is something you're still working on with them or if it's just not not going to be an option, period.
I'm really enjoying this game. I also like that this game is one where you can pay for premium content if you want to but I'm still able to play it without and not have to worry about being too limited. Nice!
I love this kind of music (I grew up on it) but I just couldn't be bothered to play it past the first round. The music is very low and the sound fx are very loud. I really have no use for the animations between everything. They just slow things down and drag it out.
Cute game but very short. I'm a bit confused as to why I'm still waiting for my suit to be ironed though. That seems like a bit of a dangling thread there.
@ArgentDuergar and @vuhienlong: Thanks for trying to help. I don't know why so many losers neg my comment when I'm asking a question rather than helping.
I did go to my collection. I went to the Deck Editor and then clicked the Collection button at the bottom. I don't have many cards, so I can see that I don't have the Monster Hunter's Handbook card that I'm supposed to have earned. Just in case, I did use the search bar as ArgentDuergar suggested. It's not there.
I don't know why I even posted this message. It's just going to be negged because I'm asking a question.
