Really wish there were more check points in the later stages. 8 specifically. Really tough level & to go back over & over & over... tedium takes away from the fun.
I had a difficult time finishing on Normal. Folks that are complaining about the Hard level? You got what you asked for! 4/5 'cos it was pretty hard on Normal!
Great game. Nice change for an RPG. I think "End Turn" should be automatic like it is in most RPGs. Unless there is a reason for it being an option further into the game...
I give up. Don't usually do that so easily, but this is just too hard. Great concept & of course there should be a degree of challenge, but this is WAY over my capabilities. :-(
Whee! 6/2000 Sandals! This is at Mission 17. C'mon. **Because I see and have added to the litany of complaints, I want to also say that there must be a lot RIGHT with this game.** B/c I've been playing for hours on end. Still only ALMOST to 10,000 but still plugging away. So thanks for the good stuff and the sequel should be great!
It would be nice if the Shadow Cloak also kept your combo count. (Not sure if you lose your coins, too). Otherwise, it is just like starting a new game. Unless you get to keep your "door" count. I don't do that often enough to keep track. lol Point being, if you lose everything, what good does the Shadow Cloak do?
(And I wish I could edit my comments! Or delete them. Then I wouldn't have so many)...
Oh, and you can't read the notes that pop up. They're just a distraction. Unless of course that is their only purpose. There are a lot of good things about this game! It's just that it could be so much better.
I agree with the top comments. Plus one thing... It seems like the counter restarts even when there is nothing to hit for a second. That doesn't seem quite fair. Or it could be me...
I wanted to play this game. Can't in FF or IE. Worked for a while in Chrome, but now the lag is so bad (even in the comments!) that I give up. Please fix for all browsers!! It is a great concept but only if you can play it! Thx.
Okay, so I read where this game won't work in FF. (sucks) So I go to IE & get a message that it does not support HTML5 & I click the IE link which tells me I have the latest version of IE. I refresh. Get the no HTML5 message again. How can you put out a game that won't play on the two main browsers used? I don't understand that at all. Especially FF. C'mon. (yeah, yeah, minus minus minus).
Thanks. Really enjoyed the game. Sometimes Point & Click games are annoying because there is little or no logic to the action needed to move the game/story along. So, I really loved that your game had a great storyline & logical steps to go through it. Fun and relaxing.
Yup, I tried to make the puzzles as organic as possible; I dislike overly-complicated puzzles for puzzles' sake. Only very rare games (like Curse of Monkey Island) can make those work, and that's mostly because of the humour. If you're interested, check out Sanitarium and Day of the Tentacle, those have excellent puzzles. Also, Sanitarium has one of the awesomest stories ever ever :D
