On some maps, yes. The map maker has control of weather builders can fight fires. In order to not break older maps they default is that they cannot. If you hover your mouse over the "Builder" button it will tell you if they can fight fires.
@jackbootsjim: You don't need an anagram solver, really. The four codes, in order, are "RFTS", "IRHH", "SOEE", and "EMAS". You put them next to each other, and read vertically down, to get "RISEFROMTHEASHES".
It's random - one of the 8 new cards will randomly show up every day in the trader. It's a temporary thing just to give people a chance to get these new cards a bit easier.
Quite an enjoyable game. However, I've found a couple of bugs, not including the lag problem:
1) The challenges count stops increasing once I got to 15.
2) A lot of the battle info screens seemed to have incorrect information on the number of teams/number of combatants on each team, seemingly default to displaying "3 teams of 4" for many battles that were not like this, e.g. the final battle.
Seems to share quite a few similarities with New Star Soccer. This game is a more graphical/3D version, and has more complexities in its nature. However, I feel that the video clips are a negative (I just skip them anyway, but loading takes time), and the energy system simply makes this game incomparable.
It would be much better if the puzzles had unique solutions, in terms of tiles fitting on the board and fitting the one color per column rule, instead of forcing us to use the hint button repeatedly to figure out the particular configuration that is desired.
@SnackKing: Easy enough then to not play the game for a while (in terms of gaining xp) to build up your income and thus still have large amounts of god.
@jhawknumba12: Perhaps that could be fixed by having making the 5 x 20 button simply hit the 20 button 5 times. If you level up with the first 20, the remaining 4 get ignored.
I note that it's possible to go straight to the last level, and get the medium badge almost immediately. Perhaps this loophole could be fixed by making it so that you can only go to a level that you've reached normally through first?
@Kyndryd: The game mechanic that saves don't protect you from deaths is not an infrequent one, and is particularly common among Rogue-type games. It's not well documented here, which is unfortunate, but it's deliberate.
Small possible bug with King Snake: If you run straight towards a pellet, there's a possibility both your head/the pellet moves into each other's square at the same time, and you don't eat the pellet.
