Pac-Man never was my thing, and FPS's aren't my genre; however, this game is still awesome. The graphics, low lighting, and subtle moaning combine to make a truly eerie atmosphere.
The spatial pattern on the last level is awesome! Did anyone else just move the mouse around to see what patterns they could produce before actually "solving" the puzzles?
There's an annoying flaw with the save feature. If I quite to the main menu and then continue, no problem. However, if I close the page then come back to continue, it makes me start one level behind where I left off.
Retro platformer par excellence! The jumping was a bit glitchy at times, and I had trouble getting Jon out of the water at times; however, this could be because I personally hate jump buttons set on "A." Loved the story, music, and world. Although, I think Jon acted a bit rashly when he got inside the factory. But then again, as Karserus pointed out, those guys could've asked.
I was considering a 4 or 5 star rating. However, you lost points after I got to the challenge levels. It's not the fact that they're hard. I just don't think the mechanics in these levels fit the feel of the rest of the game. Furthermore, some of the switches didn't work for me on the first pull. Given the split-second timing of these levels, you can understand how these cliches have cost me a lot of deaths, time, and frustration.
Love the concept, even though I don't understand the ending. For those of you stuck on the train after bringing the suitcases together (as I was), hold down "R" until the level restarts. Even though everything reverts back to the way it was when you arrived on the train, you can just continue the search for the maintenance car (no need to mess with the coffee, etc.).
A beautiful, atmospheric squeal to a beautifully imaginative game. Excellent rendition of the world you've created, and the journal scrapes provided amusing insight into the larger mythos. As a bonus, it only takes 3 fireflies and a dragon totem for me to become the perfect embodiment of my favorite browser!
I believe this is now fixed.
