Without armor it's impossible to kill anything later on without dying.
If the assault rifles shared ammo, then it would be much better. The SMG is the only weapon I can ever have enough ammo to kill more than two guys with.
Most of the minigames go too fast even on the slowest speed. By the time you reach 2.0x you WILL lose more than half of the games within a second. Then there's some that don't seem to change no matter how much the multiplier is (avoid green.)
Fun for about 2 play throughs, then it gets painful.
I like how the game advertises that you should run very fast (run free.) And then immediately punish you by placing unavoidable spiders at every point that you can run fast at.
It seemed that the level designer was more worried about people using tricks to get high scores than the actual racing aspect. All of the levels after Assembly are absolutely crap and nobody plays them because they rely on tricks to win. 3/5
Hah, and I got 100% on the last level during my second try.
It's really really easy. The game doesn't need to hold your hand through everything, just use basic pattern recognition.
Once you learn that the different colors have different speeds, it's really really easy. I don't see where people are saying it's too hard...
Blue: Fire off as soon as one spawns, they are the fastest.
Red: Fire off a row when they are a third of the way across the screen.
Yellow: You can wait until they are half way across the map before shooting off a row of seeds.
And the boss: as soon as the boss dies, the level ends, so when you see the last blue segment, go full guns at it. Other than that, just kill the bugs as they come and go slow, only fire immediately when you see a blue one.
The sound and gameplay designs are excellent... however it needs a bit more in the graphical department.
Perhaps something other than a static color background, a texture or something would go a long way to prettying up the bland landscape.
Also, as fun as it is, there is very little strategy involved. Click and pray.
Waay waay too difficult. I got to about the fourth "easy" level before giving up in frustration.
Maybe if you could launch 2 gravity fields it would be enjoyable.
When my friends and I discovered Doom Funnel Chasers
(http://www.bigideafun.com/penguins/arcade/doom_funnel/)
we became very competitive as to who could get the higher score.
Our lead programmer for the department made a program that gave you the X/Y coordinates for your cursor. I need to find a similar application because getting all platinum medals is indeed impossible.
There's one thing that absolutely bugs me about the game...
You have a pizza in the oven, burning... and you can't do anything about it because you have to wait for the previous customer to put his arms down.
Seriously, the last boss is a joke. When you run out of fuel because it fires nothing but lasers at you, and not a single rocket during one attempt... It's more of an experiment in frustration than an entertaining game.
