I found a bit of a goof -- if you make it to the end and click your clock until hour 25, you can actually die twice -- once by timeout and then if you wait a few seconds instead of clicking through to the logbook, you will trigger the wizard's victory speech, earning you a blastoff death as well.
Level 1: "Seriously? This is a game? With badges?" e_e
Level 20: "Okay, this is pretty cool." ^u^
Level 32: "Ungh... halfway through... I can do this" =_=;;
Level 50: "WHAT EVEN?!" @_@
Level 64: "Thank god...." TwT
Just what *kind* of single shot is the "Railgun" achievement looking for? It doesn't specify weapon and I've definitely taken out upwards of 10 spiders et al with my lightning and bazooka.
Finished aggressive mode first. Attempting to replay from the split scene took me to a black screen with arrows. Hitting the "restart" link on the black level took me back to the last Aggressive scene. Had to start with New Game.
Colored fountain scene: Had Reemus standing on the cool palette button. Moved to the warm. Cool stayed activated while fountain spat warm. Attempting to stand on cool again had Reemus say something like, "Only room for one on that. Reemus doesn't cuddle."
Honestly the last vertical launch achievement is the hardest to get. It seems like it requires 4 perfect critical boosters to achieve. I've gotten to 29,850 with 3 perfects, one 85 or 91%, and an 80+ degree launch. It's maddening! Not to mention all the highest launch # and "hit this thing" achievements... those are pure grind. If I've bought and accomplished every other thing in the game with 50-60 launches, I'm not really motivated to get those ones because it's starting to get monotonous. Sucks for completionism.
Okay, I've looked everywhere and tried all I can think of... nobody's said how to achieve the "Dog with Two Bones" ending (see high scores or Newgrounds badge of same name). I'd really like to know how this is done!
Holy cow, yeah that's bad... I've had the same tabs open between playing 8 -- which ran just fine -- and playing 7 and the lag is at nearly AOL-era levels.
Thank you! Your words are GREAT! You just made made our day! :) It's awesome to hear you liked it so much, it was our first game and we put all our efforts into that. If you liked it that much, you may want to know that: 1. As soon as we'll raise enough resources, we'll develop "A Matter of Caos: No Rest for the Wicked", another Mr. Glbert's adventure, for which we already wrote a basic screenplay. 2. In the meanwhile, you could try "A Tale of Caos: Prologue", here on Kong, which is the beginning of another Caos series. 3. If you're going to like that one, we're now on Steam with "A Tale of Caos: Overture"! Thank you again and have a wonderful life! :)
WELL I DID NOT REALIZE THAT WAS A SCROLLBAR. I restarted the game 3 times because I didn't think I had the ability to scroll through my items and kept picking up too many to be able to see the end. Perhaps make it stand out a bit more? Add some arrows?
XD Sorry about that! In the future, we're going to release a "remastered version" of this game; we'll surely consider all of these notes, by then! :) Thank you for the suggestion!
XD We're sorry, we should have set a message like "The fang would break", there, but it was our first game and we didn't think about any possible item combination... we hope you liked it anyway. :)
Pretty bad to begin with but for some reason I let it run anyway, amassing levels. At some point while I let it sit, it glitched out and went back to the "play" button. I clicked, selected a character, and the levels were correct but enemy HP and ability costs were set like level 1, and the Pantheon was locked again. On attempting to go back to level 15 to reopen it, enemy HP went into the negatives and my gold started draining away. Once there was negative HP, I could not advance again. Refreshing the page restarted the game from zero.
Very little indication of what's clickable. *Especially* frustrating that certain items are not clickable until later in the game. Useless if you've already spent more time than necessary clicking every item in the room. Nobody expects an unchanged background item to suddenly become a key item.
Here I was, wondering -just how much longer- the game would be. Turns out I paused at the last save point. Some indication of progress would be nice. So would an endgame! Even an additional comic or something instead of just fade to credits in the middle of the flying field :/
