The aim jumped around too much. Lagging behind a little would have been ok, but often it'd take a full second to move the crosshair and then it'd jump right over a zombie in the path. I liked the recoil and accuracy being accounted for but the lagging based on weapon weight was just poorly implemented.
Actually there is a way of controlling the ball. You can actually put the paddle over it and have it bounce around between the paddle and bottom. But I don't really think thats an intended method of control, though. And regardless of whether it was intended or not, its still far too little control.
when I beat one of the modes a thing comes up saying try again or back. But the buttons don't do anything. So I'm forced to push main menu and I don't get credit for beating the mode.
One thing I've noticed is that everyone (including myself originally) keeps saying "I've trainded more than 20 ____ mages, I haven't gotten the skill" however the statistics say total trained between mages and warriors. So while it seems like you should have the badge, you shouldn't. Very confusing.
the unidentified biological beings are not as hard as people say. a good mix of snipers and samurai (i generally went 10/15) did the trick in the lesser of their islands. If you set the 3 islands to cover fire you can finish off them off fairly easily even if you didn't build up giants.
I agree that 15 turns is a steep price but it is worth it. Especially once you have your strategy and units built up. I'd construct the generators as I moved north east but sent the giants west. by the time I struck the west I had an army of giants. Just put use the speed strategy and they wipe out anything. Even the final boss and his army. In fact they kicked his butt fairly easily. AI needs a lot of work. also, you either need to be move units more easily or be able to dismiss them. The hardest part of assembling my armies in the end was having to deal with all the old skeletons and gladiators that were clogging the way from natural protection.
Enemies are too weak. As is effect towers are pretty much useless. Why cause effects when they're so easy to kill. Then again, effect towers with weak damage are able to kill on their own so thats a major indication that enemies are too weak. also, towers have far too much range. I can place a sniper tower and cover the entire map. I place other towers and they cover at least half. Reduce range and make players think more about strategic placement.
