I feel like you're taking me by the hand all the way through level 7, then suddenly give me freedom and a time-limit with very unclear goals. Come on, just tell me ALL that you need, not everything in some obscure sequence.
If anyone else has the problem of the game starting very slowly, with a few losses, just hang in there! It will get better after just a little bit of grinding, and then it gets really good, IMO!
I really feel the background information about this game should be in the description section to make sure everyone will forever be able to read it. It added such (emotional) depth to the last couple of levels... The game itself was enjoyable, but the response of the time stop key sometimes felt a bit sloppy. This stood out because the rest of the game and controls seemed to be so forgiving. Overall, I'd say: job well done!
I like how this game doesn't require you to combine and click, but just interact and have the character do whatever is needed. However, until I noticed this, I was wondering about it; it might be a good idea to point out that this is how it works in the written instructions for this game and/or in any future games of the same kind you may develop? Also, I'm not sure if there is a key to skip an entire conversation (I ended up unintentionally talking to people), but if so, I didn't find it; if it's not there, it might be ab idea to add that functionality in future games?
That said, I enjoyed playing this and I am looking forward to the next episode in the story!
Just cut to the chase: how much money does one have to transfer into what developer's account to instantly obtain the badge? Maybe people will pay extra if they can skip playing altogether.
Once the forest and mountain tiles are introduced, I just fail to see which tiles I did not uncover sufficiently to detect the daimyo. The first one I found by accident and led me to realise footprints are, indeed, useless. I want to like this game, but it's just too confusing.
This made me laugh at myself for being able to play a real instrument, but always failing at these games. I appreciate that. Fun little experience and I absolutely LOVE it when unknown bands are promoted through games like these! Props for that!
This game is actually (a little) easier without the music. That said, there is no way I'm going to torment myself to get any of the badges - I think my computer wouldn't survive...
While I don't like insects at all, I don't mind them if they are outside and minding their own business. This game doesn't really give me any reason to suspect otherwise, so it makes me feel pretty bad. Shooting zombies, aliens or even humans, I can handle; shooting bugs, not so much. I'm giving this game 3/5 because it shouldn't suffer from the fact I'm weird.
Programming is not my thing, but these games are very well-made. The wordless tutorial works very well. A nice creation that I'm sure others who ARE into programming will enjoy. For me, the basic level set was enough, but I enjoyed that bit.
"Hey, grampa, I went to the shop and apparently there are monsters now that prevent newspaper delivery. Sorry. I'm going back to the garden now, OK? Thanks."
I've played games that I didn't like because they were not really my cup of tea - too hard, a genre I don't like, too flawed, etc. There have been games I flat-out disliked because of these things. However, they still elicited some emotion as a result of the developers' efforts. This game is different: I just don't feel involved at all. It looks polished and the music sounds pretty good at first. Ready to be impressed, you get led by the hand very strictly ("And here you have...NO, don't touch THAT! Click HERE!"), find out the music lasts about 30 seconds and is more annoying than anything and find the flaws hidden by the polished visuals. Completed the easy badge, made a screenshot to report the missing achievement, and I'm out of here forever. I don't even bother to hate this game - which is really worse than hating it.
Idle games: 30 seconds of figuring out the basics, 15 minutes to set up the basics, 2 hours of not doing a thing, 10 seconds to collect the easy badge - and then RUN before one gets addicted.
Everything exploding is fun until you end up painstakingly getting somewhere you need to be only to be blown way back to where you came from by a random obstacle. The fun quickly ended when this fidgeting became clear, especially since your wheels fall off so fast there's hardly any point to have them to begin with. I like the idea of the game, but I can't bring myself to liking the game itself - which is a pity.
