It seems like I am able to launch units faster than I used to. Is that true? And what causes the improvement, it feels like I got faster after buying more units.
I like the gameplay, but it gets a little stale after awhile. The only new art that you see as you play are new portraits for enemies. There needs to be more candy along the way as a reward for advancement. Move to a different town every level or two, change the way your chacters looks, that kind of thing.
The card may be real, but I can't get it because game chat won't load.
I really wish game chat worked better. Almost every time there's a card challenge or a new badge I have to load the game over and over trying to get chat working.
I think the next game should expand on the premise. Instead of just standing in one place, make it so you move across a map. Like you're trying to get somewhere.
When the devils are burried in a giant crowd, you can't always see them in time to dodge. Going from full health to dead in one second means the devils are overpowered.
Flower growth should stop when you're selecting them. I really hate selecting one row of flowers, only to have the row pop foward and make me select two rows as I release the mouse button. And taking the time to wait means other compromises that make the badges even harder. If the growth paused while selecting, that would really help. Growth the rest of the time could be sped up to compensate.
Did something change? All of a sudden I can't get past the 4th stage. I've beaten this game a ton in the past, but now I've lost the 4th stage several times in a row. I just keep getting horrible runs where I can't win a roll.
The badges actually make the game worse. Close calls were like a nice extra before, because I mainly ignored them (and score in general). When you're actually trying to get them, it's like being rewarded for playing the game badly.
It has the same problem it had the first time I played it. If the mouse goes off the edge of the screen while selecting, the selection gets screwy. Since the field is right next to the edge of the screen, this is hard to avoid.
I think the game could be massively improved by doubling the number of dice used by both sides. The proportionate wins/losses would be the same, but it would be much less streaky. Also, get rid of the movement warning, that's extremely annoying.
The top level is not 24 or even 26. I finished the game at level 30. And you can get the airstrikes badge, you just have to call airstrikes constantly, with no pauses at all between the strikes, on one of the longer maps. Remember, you don't have to do them all on the same map.
It really would help if there was more to differentiate the bonus campaigns. Make them shorter, add some stuff that isn't available in the regular campaign, something. Heck, just adding some dark clouds to the sky in the Thunderstrike campaign would be nice.
