More idols! I just realized that having 2 new party members means having more idols on every reset. You don't even have to use them, just level them up. That effectively gives us 10% more idols than before. It also means more hassle of having to upgrade all your guys, but hopefully the devs will put in that "Max Everyone's Levels" button we all want and fix that.
No, you only get Idols for the 20 Crusaders displayed on the bench. The front end currently has a visual glitch that includes the other 2 Crusaders' levels, which will be fixed in our next update.
Here's a note on a change. I used to be able to let the game idle for awhile, then check the treasure chest tab to see if I'd earned any jeweled chests. Now I have to actually open the chests screen to check, which is a little more effort. Is there something you can do to make it more obvious when I've earned a special chest? Maybe instead of a little pop-up that says "New Chest", there can be a pop-up that says "New Jeweled Chest" or "New Carnival Chest" to show us that we've got something special.
Devs, I love you guys, you've made a great game, but the jeweled chests are killing me. I just completed a 300 jewel objective, bought 3 chests, and got nothing useful. It's actually been a long time since I've gotten anything more than a minor enchantment for a crusader that I actually use. Jeweled chests are awesome when you start the game, then less and less useful. I'm open to any tweak that would help make jeweled chests less of a letdown.
Suggestion: The other day I got a piece of epic gear. That should be awesome, except it was a copy of something I already have for a crusader that I never use. Honestly, even most of the gear for characters I *do* use is useless, since only the DPS of two crusaders matters. The enchantment point system is nice, but it doesn't lessen the extreme disappointment of getting gear for useless crusaders, especially copies. My suggestion is that instead of having enchantment points for every crusader, have a common pool. This way gear is useful a *lot* more often. If you get a copy of gear for *any* character, it will improve your DPS a little. Obviously the bonus would have to be adjusted, but overall this would be a lot more satisfying.
yeth_hound, follow these tips, and you'll finish the challenge with several minutes to spare. 1) Make sure you have enough DPS to kill everything instantly, even the bosses. If they aren't dying instantly, get more idols. 2) Don't wait for the objects to scroll across the screen. That will add 10 seconds to every level with objects, which will add many minutes to your time. 3) Do not open chests. Make sure you have enough DPS to beat everything instantly *without* opening chests. Opening chests does not pause the countdown. 4) If you want to get a little more time, click on the number on the map for the next level the instant it opens up. Be careful, this will turn off auto-advance, which will cost you time if you're not careful.
I don't think Storm Rider+Magnify is giving 7.5%. I just used them, and my DPS went from 300Qt to 320Qt. If with rounding, it should be a little higher than that. I've noticed this before.
It's a 7.5% multiplier the first time. After that, DPS gets recalculated with the new Storm Rider multiplier on subsequent uses, so it goes back to base DPS x everything x 1.15, or 1.225, etc., since Storm Rider is additive with itself. You're seeing the correct number.
More mid-range challenges would definitely be appreciated. I feel like it's going to be a long time before I can accomplish the challenges that I have left, but my only option right now is grinding idols.
Veral, you're using the words "carbon copy", but describing something that is a mixture of two different games while adding elements that neither of those games have. I don't think "carbon copy" means what you think it means. By the way, neither of the games you mentioned were the first idle games.
Suggestion: Auto-leveling crusaders. When the player holds ALT and clicks on a crusader, that crusader begins to automatically level up any time there is enough money for the next level. If more than one character is selected to auto-level, then the cheapest levels are bought first. This would do two things. 1) Remove the tedium of leveling up all the crusaders before a reset. 2) Allow builds that depend on one or two crusaders to set those guys to auto-level, which would allow for *true* idling gameplay instead of having to check every three minutes and level those guys up.
It's been in since Sept. 11, when we rolled out Around the World, Dual Decent and PAARRRfection! =)
