Only two suggestions. If you're going to provide that many choices for upgrades, give us a way to farm out the money for them. Even if it takes a while, there are "completists" like me who don't like leaving things undone. Also, after the final mission to destroy the base, maybe add some kind of return home mission. It would make it feel more like we've actually won imo. Overall, this was pretty good. It's a little short though.
The only level that really annoyed me was Insane 10. Mainly due to trying to click a specific polygon and ending up clicking on a different one. I suppose that's part of the challenge, but it's quite difficult when the shapes are constantly overlapped. Overall, it was a decent game.
There's a difference between a time consuming, long and enjoyable game and one that's long, requires grinding and feels like you're not making any progress. This is more of the second type. It's long, it's a ton of grinding and it doesn't really change as you progress through the areas.
No primary weapon that fires that fast should ever have so few bullets. It's a pain in the ass to shoot down the missiles before you get wasted by the time when you're 16 shots can be used up a couple seconds and the reload time takes 3 or 4 from what I could tell. Need to fix the issue with the aiming reticle also. You can select any text and vehicles if you click on them. Really messed me up on occasion.
The controls are often unresponsive. Half the time, I can't move because the character decides to run whatever direction I pushed last, I can't aim and can't shoot. Seems like it always sends me into a group of zombies. Also, from what I've seen the aiming for the weapons is absolutely horrible. Why even bother having an aiming reticle when your shots are probably never going to be anywhere near what your point towards?
The game was a bit dull after I'd been going for a bit. Plot a mission, do a meeting, execute the mission, kill the attackers, rinse and repeat. At least the comments at the end gave me a good laugh. Some were quite interesting.
Easily one of the worst games I've ever played here. The lack of response on controls is extremely irritating. The movement physics in this game are just plain horrible.
Can't sell towers, the instructions just suck, you can't place or upgrade until you actually start the wave and your towers can be destroyed very easily. Did you play your own game at all? Get to around wave 30 and watch your turrets get completely wasted. You don't stand a chance when all you can place is a couple rapid towers with no upgrades.
I don't quit games early. I'm too stubborn to just give up. My rating eventually ended up on "pro", a full bar. For some reason my rating now says poor. Seems like there might be a flaw in that particular system. Also, even though it says "poor", I'm still able to join the good, ok and pro games. Just something to look into.
Forgot to mention this in my other comment. I wanted to say congrats for actually making it possible to deselect the towers. Also, tower AI is better than other similar games I've seen. At least these towers will target what's near the exit instead of just whatever goes by first.
Might want consider using colors besides neon green and white. It's hard on the eyes. Could use some sound effects. Money gain needs some tweaking for balance.
As with basically any other multiplayer game, this is largely dependent on just show shitty a person's internet connection is. I've seen people move while frozen because they lagged bad enough. Music is repetitive and gets annoying quickly. The sound effects are mediocre. Graphics are crap, even for a flash game.
The targeting for towers pretty much sucks royally. More often than not, the towers wouldn't target was near the exit. No sounds, not much to look at, but at least the difficult level wasn't horribly unbalanced like several others I've seen recently. 3/5
I couldn't help laughing at one of the comments made by Mr. Frost in the cutscene before wave 60. I remember hearing the phrase "Time to kick ass and chew bubblegum" several years ago when Duke Nukem 3D came out. Not sure if that was intended, but it was funny. Thought this game would be lame at first, but it was interesting enough to continue playing.
The towers don't seem to be very good at targeting. If there's something just coming in, or if the tower is already shooting one creep, it won't shoot a different one that's closer to the exit. Also, the lack of funds makes it very difficult. Might want to consider gradually increasing the money gained from killing the creeps.
