Rather large flaw on mission six. I had several missiles, most of them fully upgrade. When the ships started showing up, the missiles all fired one time. After that they never fired again. Obviously I lost.
Getting extremely irritating when most of the time you manage to get in a game, either your teammates don't understand what "teamwork" is or they decide to quit. Quite the load of bullshit when a 4vs4 game turns into 4vs1.
It's possible to glitch yourself through walls and floors using the necro hand... If you're in the right/wrong spot it will push you through when you summon it. In areas like level 6 that would be a bit of an issue, but you'd still have to destroy the gates before you can kill the behemoth.
For anyone who has played Starcraft, think zerg rush, not skilled tactics. Use cheap units, upgrade whatever helps them, and just spam them at the enemy...
If you think the hostage is mission is bs, just wait until you get absolutely spammed by blimps, helicopters, tanks an infantry. I don't know if it was just because of the upgrades I chose or what, but I don't see how the hell you're supposed to beat that. Also, when one of your towers is practically 100% certain to be destroyed in the first 15-20 seconds of the 7th mission, how are you supposed to keep any of them from being destroyed? I tried everything I could think of, but nothing made any difference. If there was more balance between the two sides (player and ai) I might be inclined to give a decent rating. Atm, the basic idea/theme is decent, graphics are ok, gameplay is tolerable, balance is non-existent, the mouse-over upgrade info needs to be able to be seen and you might want to add a mute button for people who don't like the music. Overall 3/5
Ok... so better instructions would definitely be good to provide. In order to get out of the upgrade shop you have to add your weapons. It doesn't automatically equip them. Click on the "add weapon" button both arms and shoulders, select an option and a "begin" button will show up. Instructions are lacking, the game is rather is dark, but the nostalgia is a half-decent reason to keep playing this. It brings back some old memories.
There's not health system at all. Being killed in one hit and only having three lives really sucks. Might want to consider adding something along the lines of health or shield instant of being instantly killed.
The only difficult match was the Black World challenge. Other than that it was almost too easy. Anyone who has played Magic: The Gathering (and knew what they were doing) will know how to play this with no problems whatsoever. It's basically identical. One more form of power, different creatures, but otherwise it's all the same.
Had the same issue as TPO. Seems like if you fail that mission once, it goes into turbo speed or something. There's no way to beat it after that. A split second after you hit the retry button a barrel has dropped to the ground and either killed you or killed civilian. 1/5 until/unless that gets fixed.
You can sell towers. Use the third icon (the one that looks like a - sign). The trick is you can't place the cursor directly on the tower. So if you've got a basic tower you want to sell, click that icon and put the cursor on the same square as the tower, but in the tiny empty space right by it instead of actually on the tower. It would be good to be able to sell towers more easily though. It's a bit of a pain atm.
On normal speed this game seems to crawl. It eventually starts to lag horribly. Selecting planets and specialization icons because a rather large challenge. For as little as there is going on, it seems to take up too much cpu/memory. It was interesting for a while, but every mission is basically the same, some get bugged and can't be completed and then there's the lag. Overall 2/5
Due to the incredible irritation of constantly losing because of the computer starting with at least twice what the human player does, I'd say this game is a p.o.s.
Eh. Constructive criticism: too easy to run out of energy and have no way to regain any. You can get yourself killed because your only choice left to kill enemies is ramming them. Shield and energy seem to need a larger value. See about adding some boundaries to the edges if you can. It's possible to go out of the actual game area.
I'm glad the original descent didn't suck this much. To be fair, I have yet to see a shootorial game that actually seems decent. However, taking a good game and turning it into this...
Until you get the green wave-like shot for your gun, your normal shots are completely worthless. If you manage to finally get that, it's so overpowered it's still not fun. I've seen worse graphics. Sound effects and the music got annoying after a while. Overall 2/5
I'd have to agree about level 11. The game was decent, but the 11th level was nothing less than pure bullshit. You don't stand a chance when you get swarmed by 6-10 times the cells you've managed to get. At one point I had around 115 while red had 1k+. Lame.
Towers get unselected while trying to sell them. Major flaw. Can't juggle very easily when you're trying to press the sell button and it no longer has the tower selected. So far that's been the biggest pain out of the badges. The game is easy, but the lack of controls, response and the delays make it irritating.
For those of you posting answers, find something else to do. Seriously, if you don't want to figure it out on your own, why are you even playing this game?
