This is my least favourite in the series. The battles are just...ANNOYING! With mandatory combat (usually 3 hard-hitters) and no options to flee or to heal outside of battle, damage to heal ratio is unfairly - or poorly - implemented. Especially when low on health and foes just hammer you with power blows. You heal, foes whittle your HP down, you heal again, etc. et alia. "Badge of the Day" or not, it ain't worth it.
Space bar is not a good choice for shooting, since that's also used by browsers for scrolling down. When you accidentally click outside the game screen, then shoot oftentimes it'll scroll out of focus. So you die more. I'm sure there's a "keep focus" function. I'm not going to bother getting this badge.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game! It touched me on so many different levels (with the different endings) because, going through something similar [to May], you quickly realise how much you take for granted and how much you are taken for granted. You often don't have a voice; it's never spoken about or is dismissed. When you find that ONE person willing to hear you, to actually listen to you, it makes all the difference and, even if they can't do anything about that "inner pain", just listening and being there helps much more in the longer term.
Apparently it does NOT save. I spent a lot of hours and cash on upgrading, had to reboot (updates) and came back to it only to start right at the beginning again. So short of spending another few hours of grinding, upgrading, grinding and yelling, I'm not THAT desperate for the "medium" badge.
This game is fine, frustrating because of some of the points mentioned. But also when you die, I do NOT want to continuously submit my score before being able to continue. It's annoying as hell.
It's a good game, but filled with gratuitous self-promotion. Nothing wrong with capitalizing on something, but the in-game amount is just overkill, especially shamelessly misleading links to the app store.
I love the Sushi games but was disappointed with this. There's nothing really to do except bounce, collect and upgrade. No real sense of satisfaction. An awards/achievement would be nice. Even the hallucinations from the "dodgy mushroom" of novelty wears off as quickly.
I love the game concept but, as has been said so many times, the magic needs a major overhaul. It's cumbersome, annoying and needs to be pixel-perfect. In fact, I never got one successful spell but the Mana was taken off regardless. I really hope you'll do a rework on this, maybe expand it as well.
I've been a fan of Being One since the beginning. I accidentally discovered Episode 5 so played them all in sequence. Imagine my surprise when I started playing, improved graphics, minigames and game mechanics, even cutscenes! Can't wait for Episode 6 now!
Hi! Yes, the base engine is MV with a lot of coding tweaks though. Glad you liked it! :D
