I updated (downgraded) my rating twice because of the mentioned issues: lag, unresponsive controls, bugs galore... I really like this game but it's becoming unplayable. I'm putting up with this just to get the Cuteness Overload. After that, nah ah!
As an avid fan of Asterix, I was disappointed in this game. Although it IS free to play, I agree that the in-game costs are comparatively high. The game is unbalanced because the cost to produce isn't worth the time you need to put in for the rewards you receive. If I wanted to play a waiting game, I'd go to FB for that, not on Kongregate. I play games on here to while away time, not waste it. Sorry.
I like it. I think it's very useful to keep track of all those Kongpanions we like to collect. It doesn't need to be "shiny" itself because of what it does. Also, linking to the servers might be a cool idea and, as you said, if they change it no doubt problems will arise.
I concur. Gratuitous in-game promotions, annoying to have to click NO each time. I just want the badges. Once I have them, I'm not replaying. This isn't because it's a bad game - it's a really good one - it's just the "Buy This Now For This" theme throughout.
Of all the "kicking" games, I like this one best of all. Despite the grinding in the beginning, this has enough options to keep it "busy" and enjoyable. Good job!
At times when obstacles are very close together, the duck/jump/shoot needs to finish first. E.g. you can't shoot while in mid-jump so a farmer gets you almost right after you've landed. Fast reactions, yes, and timing. Congratulations, though, this game is designed to give apoplexies to the "reaction challenged".
It's easier once you get used to the "swipe" controls, but the most annoying thing about the game that puts me off completely is the "Would you like to purchase 3 lives?" message. There should at least be some way to disable it. And have a minimal click restart.
Although this may have scope for development, it needs a LOT of work. Transform into an animal and wander aimlessly about, not knowing what the actual purpose of the game is isn't my idea of fun. Add to this that if you click on any of the top bar links there isn't a (noticeable) way to return to the "game".
This has potential. However, I also feel that some kind of instructions on what each item is (maybe a mouse-over box). It's all just combine and hope for the best. Keep working on this, I'd be interested in seeing more.
I've uploaded a new version. It now has a stats button. I hope this information is accurate.
