AH! LOVE METEOR SHOWERS! I just killed 6 guys on turn 2 on mission 23 with one Meteor Shower. I love sending them straight away from the most dense planets with just enough power so they turn back toward the planets and RAIN DEATH with 4x multiplyer. =D <3
SOO MANY GLITCHES! Clicks are unresponsive on buttons, (resume button doesn't work on pause menu so it's instant-game-over if you pause or click outside of game screen, and train/build buttons lock up too) and battles randomly lock up with 0 damage dealt per hit so it lasts forever. I can't get past the FIRST LEVEL because of so many glitches.
I'm having a LOT of trouble with mouse tracking lag, and it's REALLY ANNOYING when you mouseover the edge of the screen because the paddle becomes unresponsive... Add a buffer area PLEASE outside of paddle movement range because movement of the paddle is SO SLOW so it's hard to move to the edges of the movement grid without losing control even though it's required to block some shots...
715,000 first playthrough... 90% of my deaths were from random unpredictable and ONE HUNDRED PERCENT unavoidable rain. I LOVE hard games, but it becomes pointless when it's random. Randomness MINIMIZES player skill, when even the BEST PLAYER has to rely on luck to not die. This game would be much better if drops were somewhat predictable, instead of spawning where there is no way to avoid them. -_-
I'm not saying this game takes no skill at all, but the amount of luck required basically turns this into "I'm going to have to keep replaying from the start over and over JUST to get a good random spawn sequence of drops through ALL of the levels to get a score that reflects my skill."
Congratulations! You just won the Devil's in the Details Badge and 30 points!
I don't know why everyone is complaining, this game really isn't hard at all...
And it's freakin lame that you are forced to start before the hydras when you fail to defeat the tank. That's a whole lot of playing time just for one attempt at the tank. u_u;;;
Frustratingly difficult on Epic mode because it doesn't matter how skilled you are. If certain things happen in order you lose no matter what. It's just chance, with skill on top of that as the determining factor. =(
Blah, missed it by 12 seconds on my 2nd try, I thought I was doing it pretty nicely on pace. Don't feel like going through it again for the badge though. Meh.
How do you get the excalibur? To kill Loki just use the highest level Missiles you can get, and your Odin ship. It's fast enough to strafe the multishot from Loki, or duck between it's spread because the spread is so wide. Use the special attack whenever you get trapped between the spread and he jumps next to you, of course. And while you're invincible, you can do more damage by staying right up in his face allowing your Berserk to do full damage. Pretty simple with the Strafe+Odin strategy. Got it on my first try, and again on my 2nd with the Loki ship, haha.
