Ouanonfor, regarding your comment about level 6 on Star Baron. You couldn’t take one of his bases because you didn’t find a weak point. Remember to use multiple attack points, not all 8 ships into a single group. I experimented with level 6, got my 80 ships and converted all my buildings to defensive builds. I was alble to win easily after that, you just have to use strategy, not mass spam his bases. =)
90% of the time on mission 8 no matter what combination of units or support you use, you lose before you can get to the trench. Soldiers die out of NOWHERE and they use strikes on the tank so everything dies, then they just send in the mass of units they accumulate all safe on their side (WHICH ARE IMMUNE TO MINES?)
1 TIME out of 20, I got to their trench with 100% morale AND a tank, yet still lost thanks to their incredibly overpowered strikes and soldiers. Morale loss, even using upgraded officers, is incredibly unbalanced, because mines and strikes kill at least 90% of your units before they can do ANYTHING to the enemy. Then the remaining 10% (if that) that get through, vs the enemies 100%, NEVER stand a chance.
THIS GAME TAKES NO SKILL, ITS ALL LUCK. Click the buttons, roll the dice and watch a preset number generator heavily stacked against you, kill all of your units. -_-
I would have no problem if it was just incredibly difficult. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER how SKILLED you are.
Glitch, makes the game unplayable. After the loading screen, the game freezes during the Armor Games logo starts to pop up, during the sword fight animation. I've restarted and done everything I can think of, same error, no luck.
OMG, I rightclicked and chose "play" to see what would happen, and the save box came up and now I am unable to play the game. I close my browser and start it up again, and I am unable to swing my sword or hear music because the glitch is saved to the game file... And no matter what I try I cant fix it!!!! OMG! I WAS ONLY 12 AWARDS AWAY FROM THE IMPOSSIBLE BADGEEE!!! *DIES*
BTW power tip: Stall spam wizards (block them with incoming enemies so they never move forward, they only build up to like 100 wizzards in one spot) and even the final battle is easy. You just have to time a hobbit+elf rush and the destruction of the enemy tower so that the group of wizards don't die as soon as the boss spawns (your tower killing force should be in front of your wizards, so they are out of range of the boss when it spawns.)
Great game. Can definitely use some balancing though. Arrows are so extremely powerful at highest level, once you get them upgraded every level is extremely easy until the final battle, which is the only one that requires a bit of strategy. Levels take WAY too long as well. SPEED+ option, and QUALITY CONTROL are SORELY NEEDED in this game. When I had around 130 sprites on screen, my computer was rendering about 3FPS which made the already super long final battle, MUCH LONGER.
NEEDS QUALITY CONTROL OPTION. The game was extremely difficult because objects would pop up halfway across the screen out of nowhere because of poor framerate. -_-
Hmm, after I got the apple I proceeded to the East out of the castle and into the boss fight, skipping a lot of events. And it quicksaved me inside the tower, so I couldn't get out and finish the previous events. =(
Great game, better than the first in some ways, worse in others. There are definitely some balance issues with the weapons, the colt pistol is better than all of the SMGs... And the ending was really disappointing. "It's over, I lose." Or.. "It's over, I win." Lame.
Lag problems. Occasionally the action will freeze and my combo will die and enemies advance even if I am typing while it's frozen. It was impossible for me to get more than a 15x combo because it happened too often. Nice graphics, but there should be an option to lower them for slower machines. Also, add a pause button.
Needs more variation in the spells, maybe status effects as well, and some kind of leveling/exp system. There is absolutely no point in fighting except to progress down a path. But if you accidentally go the wrong way? You're stuck with the same battles over and over just to get back on the right path, just a waste of time. I finished the game, and was very disappointed. And what's with resting? I couldn't figure out what kind of advantage it gives you.... I couldn't find any point to the gold.
Glitchy. Every time I completed a campaign mission, the remaining units would stay on screen, but they didn't move and both allies and enemies ignored them.. But they took up space and made it hard to see what was going on, and how many units I actually had. So I refreshed the game, and lost all progress. Apparenlty there's no save feature. The game was far too easy, and no real use for many of the units. I never had to use any but the $15 swordsmen, and the $75 archer. DMG and DEF upgrades FTW. Fun for a few minutes, but it's repetitive, no challenge, and glitchy.
Click dectection is lame. I clicked on certain objects like the paper in the cell room 50 times before it would let me pick it up. I had to find the single pixel that allowed me to use it. Which is retarded when I'm on 2200+ resolution.
