Rogue Soul 2?! Could not contain my hype. Could not click hard enough. Then, bam! generic upgrade screen. You cannot comprehend the depth my disappoint.
a big, pointless, grind. Lags a whole lot on low quality. Gets more depth in later levels, but never gets really deep. I also didn't like it that the only way to get usable items was gold, which is key to progression. Why would I spend progression points I have on something that *might* help me get some of it back? Take the key for instance. It helps me get into chests without playing the often unwinnable minigame. But it costs 200 coins, more than half of what I ever found in a chest. Pointless!
What's so scary about battleships? There's a lot of content telling me it can help me avoid them, but when they come they're just big sacks of points that go down immediately. They don't even shoot. I've tried leaving them alive as long as possible, they just float around the screen until I kill them on accident.
they do shoot. and originally they were much deadlier, but everyone was complaining about how the game was out to kill them once they appeared, so I toned things down. ;)
These card games are always such obvious money-grabs. They're fun enough, but they get abandoned by players and devs alike pretty quickly, and to even insinuate that it's worth money to get virtual content. But this game takes the cynical garbage cake for not even being stable on release. It's not professional, it's not original, it's not particularly well-balanced or engaging. It is yet another repetitive card game that constantly reminds you you could be paying real money for the privilege of getting to the end faster. And beacuse it wasn't satisfyed with being one among many, it stands out from the pack by crashing itself constantly. Too much, it's just too much.
So, the default bow seems to be strictly better than a staff in every way. Do buyable staves give magic-oriented bonuses, or is the staff just for gimping?
I agree, actually. A good story isn't about the overall tale, but the manner in which it's told. Since I tried to "keep it short to avoid intruding on gameplay," I ended up telling the story quite poorly. Lesson learned!
Really upgrades aren't such a big deal, they just help you a bit facing the even more hardcore end game. Game is still all about skill :)
