It isn't like kingdom rush invented this kind of defence game, but this is clearly a rip-off. The art style, the upgrade trees, the tower levels, it's all derivative. Even the main menu looks like kingdom rush's.
Secondary attacks are next to useless, givin that you do more damage just mashing the basic. Spells irk me. They don't fit the character concept, and it looks wierd to see a gladiator shoot lightning.
The "ultimate" is impossible to use. You move around all over the place and get behind enemies as soon as you land a few attacks on them. Sure, I'm up to 3 or 4 kills per use, but I can do that in any case.
Enemy AI is pathetic. When they spawn, they run to a random spot on the arena and stand there for a while. If you are in their way, they will run right past you, paying no mind. They will then sit around refusing to attack you until they get it in their heads that they should run at you and attack once. Then they stare at you for a bit. This only works if you're distracted, and say, in the middle of an attack animation, during which you can't do anything. When you die, it's because of four or five cheap shots.
You can handle ANY number of enemies from the front, somehow hitting six guys with one gladius, but god forbid you be able to turn around.
The only possible explanation for workers dropping gold when they die is that the developer thought it would be funny if this game consisted of a bunch of miners running headfirst to their doom.
Well, wow. First off, the graphics are horrible. I mean just awful. Like, I've seen puke stains that look more like aliens. Also, I'm pretty sure assault rifles are more than half an inch thick, but hey, it's not like I'm in the army or anything. The music is aggresively mediocre. The gameplay is simplistic, mind-numbingly so. The difficulty curve is... unprofessional. Everything about this game is awful, but damn it if I didn't enjoy the window between when it (instantaneously) got incredibly hard and the final boss. Which is by the way, outrageously dissappointing. For seem reason it lagged unplayably with one enemy on the screen, and only when he got tantalizingly low on health. All in all, the game's imbalanced, looks like shit, sounds like shit, and is unaccountably fun to play. It might have something to do with enemy mechanic, but probably more to do with difficulty.
Sellars' absence and their love for her kept them together.
"why is their house still there in a idyllic pastoral field?"
Hmm not sure. Maybe they like the country side.
I'll take the third one as a compliment. Thanks Thane!
