A solid addition to the internet's collection of defense games. It was worth playing, but it was nothing new. I like the large variations and styles of enemies, but it isn't saying much because they are all just shapes. A standard, well-made defense game. 4/5
This game was really well made. It didn't lag much for me and the graphics were nice. It reminded me a lot of Luminara. However, my two big gripes were, firstly, that the size of the screen was two small, and secondly, that the game was tedious. WIth the screen being so small, effectively dodging enemy weapons was made annoying and difficult. I would have like to see a bigger view area in exchnge for more enemies and a bigger arena. The game was very simple and some of the levels, especially the survival levels, took a rediculous amount of time to complete. I hope Hover Bot Arena 2 will be better; the gameplay mechanics are great, but the gameplay itself is very poor. 2/5
Awesome. I keep coming back for more; it has great gameplay, detailed graphics, and difficulty that keeps you on your toes even after you have beaten it more than once. I enjoyed it over Boxhead because it has an ending, a goal to work towards. 5/5 P.S. I'm dissapointed the sniper badge was downgraded! I worked hard for the impossible version and now I feel gipped. Oh well.
There is a very cheap way to win easily which relates to what Brutal Society just said, but that is only because it is a computer program. I would like to see some pictures for a puzzle though. One color is boring. 4/5
Awesome, I can see how it was inspired by soldat. I like the slower speed adjustment, if feels more in-control than soldat, where you go flying everywhere to the point you don't know which man you are... multiplayer would be sweet.
I have played this game three times. The first time I died on the giant alien and I didn't find the game fun. The second time I got a bit past the alien and figured out how to use the bonus weapons. The third time I beat it. Each time I played I liked it more and more. You'd better not give up Indie because I am waiting for the day I can get that badge!
Like Yugioh with a big shot of luck. And no one likes luck in a game where skill and planning should win. I would give it a 4 but the large luck factor lowers it to a 3. I agree with jaymun; a rat should be incapable of destroying a dragon.
lol... I've completed the card challenge and the badge before they even came out. Guess I have to do the bare minimum again. Awesome game but I want more levels!
The game is awesome as usual but the one thing that killed me was the lag. I had it on the lowest quality and it still lagged. Never before has a Ball Revamped game lagged on me! That lowers my score from a 5 to a 4, I have to say Ball Revamped 4 was better for me.
Awesome, but the physics fall apart on the corners of platforms, and I got stuck several times on the Force Field ace level. All in all those were just minor details and I enjoyed it very much. My only realy problem was that it was too short! More levels, harder challenges!
The number of possible tiles is 256; 16 possibles on one side and 16 on the other. Let's say you have two limiters next to each other - the left one calls for blue and the right for red. There are only 16 tiles with blue on the left and red on the right. And I'm not taking into account any tiles you amy have in place already that you also must match up. Basically in a normal situation where you have one tile to go, with two limiters, you have about a 4/256 of getting the tile you need. The overabundance of limiters takes away the planning and strategy of this game and makes it into a frustrating luck game. I love this game on levels 1-14 or so, then hate it for the rest.
Pretty interesting, but it was tooshort and simple. If you could take these mechanics and create a bigger, in-depth game with them, I'm sure it would be better. 3/5
