It's actually a really fun platform shooter. As others suggested, I would make some improvements for the next game: (1) A coin magnet. When you go through levels, you either miss coins that are on inaccessible ledges, or when you beat a boss and the cutscene starts immediately afterwards. (2) The difficulty spike. The last stage has an absurd difficulty increase, to the point that you need all of the upgrades just to have a chance to beat the two birds. (3) The writing. I didn't understand what was going on half the time. Other than that, though, I hope you make a sequel. Lots of fun. 4/5

Got to tell you - this may have the most epic moment I've seen in a Flash game this year. When you see those words, "No casualties expected," and that heroic music kicks in...man. Just chills.

Great concept, but could use a bit of polish. As said by others, the tutorial of the game is very unclear (maybe that was the point?). There doesn't seem to be any benefit to befriending the various painters besides a handful of new style options. It's easy to break the curve of the game by selling realistic nude oil paintings, and they also seem to be the only ones to win awards at the Atelier. There's no real end to the game, either - I stopped playing when I hit 1910 and had more money than I knew what to do with. A few refinements, and this could be an incredible game instead of merely great.

Some tips for beginners: (1) Find a Protector of Ruins pet ASAP, preferably with a combination of Advanced Heal/Advanced Dodge - you'll appreciate it when he's knocking down second-to-last area bosses with surprising resilience. (2) If you're going to try upgrading Epic/Legendary weapons towards Lv. 15, make sure you have a secondary weapon of the same type/benefit before doing anything, lest you be stuck with no weapon at all. (3) Smash and Blacksmithing are probably the best skills to get early on. When fully upgraded, Smash can do 500% damage, and Blacksmithing becomes a necessity by the third area. (4) Never gamble on any weapon/armor that costs more than $100,000. You can get stuff that's just as good cheaply - I haven't seen any benefit to buying the most expensive gambles. (5) From what I've seen, Warlord is the best early Title to have. Once you max Combat Mastery, go for the Combat Master Title.

The fastest way to get Ability Points in the game is to set your character to age 17 and wait for them to hit 20, then respawn and do the same thing over and over again. You can usually get 20-25 points per respawn, and the process usually takes about an hour. Again, great game. Love the new updates.

Solid game, developer who listens to feedback and very compelling loot mechanics. Definitely need more of these games on Kongregate.

The game has a lot of potential, but it could do with some serious balancing. As others have said, the money vs. level issue means you have to constantly grind to get money for upgrades which do hardly any better. The guns are woefully underpowered in the later levels, and the firing rate needs to be increased if you're going to fill the screen with scores of enemies. There's no real upgrade system (you could do money magnet/speed/fire rate/pickup appearance rate), and there's no reason to go on when the levels are painfully drawn-out. Like I said, the game will have a lot of potential if you can address or fix these problems for a sequel.

When you get to the final boss, the game is virtually unplayable due to the lag. It's just a question of how many bullets you get off before the game becomes completely unresponsive. I doubt more than 10% of the people commenting on this have actually beaten the game. Fix it, please!

Great game, with a lot of playability and different items. It would be nice, however, if you had an ending to this part. I don't like spend two hours grinding for a shipmaster to tell me "Part 1 is over...sorry guys." Either finish the game or put some sort of ending so this isn't a complete waste of time.

There should be more incentive to try and unlock all the reactions. You can get all the achievements long before unlocking all of them. Still, loved the game!

Best zombie game on the site? Yes! If there's anything I think could be improved, it would be the lag during huge battles - too many cheap deaths are caused by the input lagging while a mob wails on you. It also might be nice to have a "New Game+" that allows you to restart with your skills after you finish the game - there's no replayability value. Other than that, no complaints.

Getting the hard badge is more an endurance test than anything else. The best way to do that I've found is to play until you can get to level 7 or 8 (and afford some upgrades off the bat), then upgrade your ship once and added the +4 Magnet and Weapon upgrades. Play through the first round until you get enough to afford the second ship upgrade and +4 Speed mods, then continue playing until you reach the final boss - once you beat him, you should earn enough very quickly to afford the final ship upgrade and +4 Fire Rate mod. What follows is mostly an endurance test - you'll need a good 20-30 minutes (as well as a lot of skill) to navigate the bullets in between boss rounds (although its easier with all the upgrades). Hope this helps.

What happened to the quality option when you right-clicked on the game? It's been removed - why wasn't it included in the game menu?

Tips: 1) The turtle (which have overall weak stats) has the best stamina, making it one of the best characters. You never have to train it (which wastes a LOT of time) for the entire game. 2) If you're a decent typer, you can level up the Speed skill all the way to 1000 in fifteen minutes once you make some a couple grand. It's just a matter of using the hunt-and-peck technique and developing a rhythm of typing the letters. You can easily get 40-50 points in that skill every time. 3) Reaction and Agility are probably the two best attributes to train off the bat. Leveling up Reaction all the way to 1000 ensures no one will even move until you've crossed the finish line. Agility greatly boosts your acceleration.

I don't know what it is, but something about this game pisses me off. There's no option to change the quality, change the volume, replay levels or any option to go back change my upgrade setup. Not to mention there's an interminable amount of lag that makes just completing the levels a chore. 2/5.

Amazing game, but the final case (in the Alleys) often brings up hilarious outcomes. I had two separate people "running massive scams", yet they weren't criminal masterminds. A minister was a "closet pervert" (LOL), and one character was an "underworld criminal", yet none of them were the mastermind. Love it! 5/5!
